fabulous3d eBay seller sold fake 32GB DataTraveler usb flash drives on eBay under the id of niewczas1985. Having been found out this seller changed his id name to 3delectroincs.
On May 2, 2009 SOSFakeFlash issued an alert: 3delectroincs aka niewczas1985 Ebay Fake Flash Seller Alert – United Kingdom
Since then the seller has yet again changed his eBay id name. It is now fabulous3d. In changing the name, it makes it difficult to search on this seller, bad for victims – it also demonstrates guilt and evasion. eBay sellers who have sold fake flash devices can not out run or avoid their responsibilies. The rules set by eBay sellers who were victims, accidentally selling fake flash. A seller must contact each and every buyer. Refund every buyer in FULL, including shipping and handling. Offer a sincere apology to every buyer.
In selling false capacity usb flash drives, a seller sells data poison. It does not matter if they knew or not. Data dies.
What matters most is a seller’s behavior when buyers report the awful truth. fabulous3d aka 3delectroincs aka niewczas1985’s behavior speaks for itself.
As far as victims and SOSFakeFlash are concerned, there is no eBay Fake Flash Seller Protection Program. Correct behavior is to contact all buyers, to refund in full and to apologize for the harm that has been caused.

Registered in the United Kingdom, simply-sarahs-ltd sold 32GB fake flash drives during the spring of 2008. simply-sarahs-ltd sold many false capacity usb flash drives. Almost all victims never got a refund. eBay refused to believe them. Paypal ignored them. It the autumn of 2008, eBay members finally caught up with this fake flash seller and simply-sarahs-ltd was sent off to eBay fake flash prison under a suspension and still remains there today. Beware of this id’s potential return. Thousands of people lost their money and many data files for ever! The behavior of simply-sarahs-ltd is the same current fake flash sellers use, little has changed.
If you look at simply-sarahs-ltd feedback score, today on eBay, it doesn’t look that bad. You need to use: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=simply-sarahs-ltd&Dirn=Received+by to be able to see the truth! eBay feedback is based on a year period and is designed to erase the truth over time. mick1880 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Registered in the United Kingdom, mick1880 counterfeit and false capacity Kingston DataTraveler 100 – DT100/16GB usb flash drives. mick1880 also sold DataTraveler G2 usb flash drives and a generic model. This seller used multiple item listings and private auctions to hide what he was up to. Only usb pen sticks were sold under private auctions – a clear indication mick1880 knew EXACTLY what he was selling!
A Victim wrote:
Here is a definite confirmation of my fake capacity, counterfeit received today from seller mick1880.
From the outset I was pretty sure it was going to be fake. Price was too low and listing was private. I presumed the listing was private to hide the sales of the Kingstons. Perhaps not.
The packaging was not a proper blister pack, just a printed cardboard (same as picture in listing)with a plastic insert which was easily opened and closed again from the front, a bit like a processor plastic box from intel. There were no serial numbers for verifying with Kingston on the back of the package.
There was no address sent with the drive either, just a plain, large brown, standard (non-padded) envelope with 1st class “Large” stamp. The address was hand written in neat capital letters.
The post mark just says Nottingham as in the listing.
The only contact info is the e-mail for the seller which is mmann@hotmail.co.uk.
The drive was supplied with starview files on the drive with the option of choosing eurovox pre-purchase.
I opened up a dispute in Resolution Centre with the option of asking for refund from seller for the full purchase price.
I followed this up immediately by leaving a negative feedback for the seller, highlighting what was purchased for others to see.
Immediately after leaving the negative I checked my e-mails and found I had been refunded in full in less than 5 minutes total and case closed.
The seller followed up with the message below through ebay messaging system. I have no reason to reply as my feedback says all I need to say.
SOSFakeFlash:
The testing results from H2testw are not being published so victims may independently test and confirm their results. We can say it was one of the worst Kingston counterfeit false capacity usb flash drives on record that would actually hold ANY data at all.

uk-choice is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Kingston DataTraveler Flash USB drives. Registered in the United Kingdom, uk-choice also has an independent website, ukmobi. This seller is ignorant of the technology he sells. One of the worse examples the FrankenFlash Project has uncovered so far. You will find this example astonishing!

Advertising at 8GB for this model, the photo is correct for the 8GB DataTraveler. Only they actually say the size is 4GB and in fact that is the tested capacity. The information on this fact has also independently been preserved.
Is it possible this seller simply has no understanding of the products he sells, or employee’s don’t?
On eBay uk-choice has released dangerous false capacity usb flash drives for sale. Furthermore, in using private actions for usb flash drives, uk-choice earns the classification of devious. This auction category is the most dangerous for nand based flash technology, it has allowed too many fraudlent sellers to victimize eBay members and to escape detection – increasing the number of victims.
As a result of complaint, what did uk-choice do?
1) Continue to list on eBay

But modify the title, yet show the same correct colour for the Kingston DataTraveler 8GB. Then further down in the listing shows:

Sorry there never was a 4GB Kingston DataTraveler in Black!
2) Makes similar changes at their own website.

Their website: http://www.ukmobi.co.uk/Product_info.asp?id=1501
The FrankenFlash Project has never seen such stupidity or ignorance of technology. Both uk-choice and ukmobi SELL technology. Are you frightened? If not you should be!
The test results for this usb flash drive:
Warning: Only 7983 of 7984 MByte tested.
The media is likely to be defective.
3.9 GByte OK (8285056 sectors)
3.8 GByte DATA LOST (8064128 sectors)
Details:2.8 GByte overwritten (6048096 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
984.3 MByte corrupted (2016032 sectors)
1.5 KByte aliased memory (3 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x00000000fcd70000
Expected: 0x00000000fcd70000
Found: 0x00000000aa55aa55
H2testw version 1.3
Writing speed: 6.45 MByte/s
Reading speed: 18.6 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4
We doubt very much that this fraudster has been staying up all night performing low level formats to return these usb flash drives to the correct size of the actual flash storage chips. Any consumer who uses this flash drive would lose data after 3.9 GB without a corrective to return the usb flash drives to their actual capacity.
Even if uk-choice and ukmobi did this it is fraud. Why? Contact Kingston to ask their opinions!
uk-choice and ukmobi stubborn resolve to unload these dangerous devices to unsuspecting consumers demonstrates just how low some sellers can be. Anything to make money, anything to recover their capital. It doesn’t matter that they are harming Kingston Technologies reputation or causing data loss to consumers.
Profit at any cost, is the mantra uk-choice and ukmobi chant.
