gggworldwide is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake – false capacity memory) Flash USB drives. Registered in the United Kingdom, gggworldwide sold fake 16GB KINGSTON MICRO SD CARDS. You thought all fake flash memory sellers were based in the Orient? Wrong, they are everywhere!
One Victim reported:
The guys clever, those that identify they are fake, he gives his apologies and offers a replacement or a refund on the proviso that you send back the fake item (foolishly that’s what I did believing him to be genuine).
He’s very polite up front, sending you a charming e-mail, thanking you for your business and to let you know your goods are just about to be dispatched
This then he strings you out by saying he has sent a replacement, eventually you give up waiting. You open a case with Ebay, they say good news he’s offered a full refund provided you return the with a tracking number within 10 days or the case is closed.
This obviously I can’t do as I have already returned the item. I’m not expecting to see my money back…
Dishonesty is everywhere on eBay and fake flash memory sellers rule! But eBay members are fighting back! Some get refunds some do not. The worst thing for a fake flash seller is to not refund! It just motivates victims to fight even harder!

nfar7820 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake – false capacity memory) memory cards. Registered in the United Kingdom, nfar7820 also sold usb flash drives.
nfar7820 in eBay listing said:
All cards are 100-percent tested and are backed by a lifetime warranty and free live technical support.
This information most likely came from an item description elsewhere, as had nfar7820 tested for capacity the items would never have been listed. Note that on the eBay listings there is a remark: “Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing.”
Buyers of 32GB and 64GB advertised capacity, please read these two articles immediately!

innovico_surplus is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake – false capacity) Flash USB drives. Registered in Jersey innovico_surplus was a formerly trusted eBay seller. Recently innovico_surplus has sold many false capacity usb flash drives. There is no indication that this seller has attempted a recall of his merchanidise, warned all buyers to test for the true capacity and refunded as required.
Test results for the 16GB usb flash drive show a 4GB flash memory chip, one of poor quality with many bad sectors for a formatted size of 3.7GB instead of the usual 3.9. Therefore, not only has innovico_surplus sold false capacity but merchandise containing sub standard quality memory chips. In the past, some buyers did say usb pen sticks sold by innovico_surplus tend to have a lower than average final formatted capacity.
Sub standard memory chips are likely to have a lower life expectancy, not good for anyone who intended to archive data.
The 8GB usb pensticks appear to be implicated as well. innovico_surplus has not been careful and vigelent in performing periodic inspections of wholesale merchandise purchased.
SOSFakeFlash revoked innovico_surplus eBay safe seller status in August 2009, removed his nomination article and changed his status on the eBay safe seller list.

shop-till-drops aka Shining_World is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake – false capacity) Flash USB drives. Registered in the United Kingdom, shop-till-drops changed her id from Shining_World to avoid detection. shop-till-drops aka Shining_World sold during the summer of 2009: 16GB HI-SPEED USB FLASH MEMORY STICK PEN DISK DRIVE NEW
Described as:
16 GB HI-SPEED USB Flash drive is FASTEST AND NEW in mobile storage. With a capacity of 16GB, it lets you store more digital files than ever before on one drive. 16 GB HI-SPEED USB Flash drive ® helps budget-conscious users break storage barriers, allowing them to easily store and move files in a 16GB device no bigger than a pocket knife. As easy as click and drag, 16 GB HI-SPEED USB Flash drive can hold just about any file you can think of — term papers, theses, digital images, spreadsheets or other important documents.
DT400/16GB 16 GB DataTraveler 400 USB drive (2.0) was a false capacity counterfeit Kingston usb flash drive.
shop-till-drops aka Shining_World has managed to convince buyers who complained that the “item” was faulty. However, test results speak plainly:
H2Test1.4:
The media is likely to be defective.
1003.1 MByte OK (2054528 sectors)
15.0 GByte DATA LOST (31481472 sectors)
Details:11.2 GByte overwritten (23611104 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
3.7 GByte corrupted (7870368 sectors)
1.5 KByte aliased memory (3 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x000000003eb30000
Expected: 0x000000003eb30000
Found: 0x00000000aa55aa55
H2testw version 1.3
Writing speed: 13.6 MByte/s
Reading speed: 19.5 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4
Revealing a 1GB memory chip. At issue is not the quantity sold but: 1) not contacting buyers 2) attempting to wiggle way from having sold both false capacity usb flash drives and also a counterfeit Kingston DT400/16 with an id name change. The Genuine DT400/16 is not available everywhere, it is offered by Kingston to the UK market. Attempts at erasing evidence have failed.
Please test your device to ensure you have the advertised capacity with H2testw to ensure you have the advertised capacity. Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

ajs_socks is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake – false capacity) Flash USB drives . Registered in the United Kingdom, ajs_socks is very slippery and skilled at fraud.
In his listings he showed a generic 64GB flash drive, but sent counterfeit Kingston DT150 64GB flash drives instead. Clever. His listing descriptions were:
Brand New USB 2.0 64 GB Key Pen Flash Memory Drive
New 500GB Key Flash Memory Drive USB 2.0 Pen 10%Charity
New 64GB Key Flash Memory Drive USB 2.0 Pen 10% Charity
for:
ajs_socks doesn’t have an issue selling counterfeit items, in fact seems very comfortable in doing so. ajs_socks is a seller in the UK that has learned the secrets of fake flash sellers in the Orient.
http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=ajs_socks&Dirn=Received+by
For the 64GB listing SOSFakeFlash was confused a Kingston DT150 was being reported for the seller.
A Victim Of ajs_socks said:
I bought from that exact page and if you notice he uses the same picture throughout all his flash drive sales.
Obviously, if someone was to be selling real 64GB Kingston they would be shouting from the rooftops and display as many pictures as possible.
He does not list any specific brands, but anything just so he can ship whatever he feels like, as long as it is “64GB”.
