I immediately knew this was counterfeit on receipt as it had no serial number, as Transcend memory has – Transcend also has a Web site on how to spot counterfeits at:
http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/SerialCheck.asp.
Card had extremely slow read/write speeds, and would not read at all in some devices. Filed a PayPal claim and escalated immediately – eBay had removed all references to the sale including on My eBay purchases, which I think is terrible. eBay had also removed all items from this seller, who had very strong feedback including on this item from prior sales. Info assembled from e-mails and PayPal history. It is also ludicrous to require senders to show proof of returning counterfeit goods to China before receiving a PayPal refund when eBay and PayPal (same company) know the goods are counterfeit. Will forward information to Hong Kong technology police.
