Toward A Fake Flash Drive Free World – No More Counterfeits – No More Data Loss

Report A Fake

The Fake flash memory wars are raging. Especially on eBay! It is up to you to make a difference! The frauded buyer can have the last word!

Please report your fake flash memory seller to us. SOSFakeFlash has been fighting the issue since 2008.  Fraudulent sellers are stopped when buyers report.  SOSFakeFlash will investigate and publish a report on the seller.  This helps other victims who have been frauded, it helps them to stand up to the seller and to get their refunds.  When buyers do not report sellers, the sellers continue to sell and fraud even more people.

Seebelow for the information we need. We do not have all sellers of counterfeit and false capacity usb flash drives, mpx players and memory cards on file. Your contribution helps everyone. Your information is registered in our database. We publish and warn others.

Addresses of sellers from your mailing envelopes are very helpful. It helps us to spot conterfeit  fraud rings operating on eBay. Use the search box and type in your sellers id, if there is an article make sure to leave a comment and also your progress in dealing with him.  When we publish your report,  please use the ultimate weapon! Social media.  If you have a facebook account use it to reference an article to warn your friends.  It is the most important way you can contribute and save others from your horrible experience.

As of June 2009, SOSFakeFlash announced a zero tolerance policy.

One confirmation can lead to an alert against an eBay seller. There was no choice considering the number of sellers involved with fake flash memory selling.  Investigators for SOSFakeFlash and the FrankenFlash project are highly trained to spot sellers. There is more than sufficient information on the internet for would be eBay sellers to exercise due diligence.  eBay makes it a policy to insert into each eBay listing that a seller is solely responsible for what they list.

SOSFakeFlash will make no exceptions, regardless of eBay country of registration. Any alert published at SOSFakeFlash will not be removed, whether or not an eBay seller chooses to refund some buyers.  Posturing and threats by eBay sellers are useless, in fact it usually leads to the eBay seller being investigated by eBay and being suspended.  We deal in facts, period.  You help in providing the facts.

Any attempt to claim “defective” will not be be received kindly, genuine flash memory storage chips are manufactured to the highest standards to ensure they can retain capacity, it is one of the reasons true flash memory is expensive.  SOSFakeFlash shows no favoritism.  An eBay seller in the Western world will receive the same treatment as one registered in an Asian country. If a brand name item is in question, an eBay seller must furnish proof from the brand name, attesting to the fact the items they sold were not counterfeit or false capacity.  We expect the brand name to exonerate the seller by testifying the items were indeed “defective”.  We do not expect to receive many emails from the brand name companies as most eBay seller caught did not buy directly from the brand name, nor an authorized reseller, most bought their inventory from Asian wholesaler sites and therefore are at risk of being frauded.  You the eBay buyer, are not responsible for their poor lack of judgment. Your duty is to report the seller, to reduce the fraud for your fellow eBay members.  It is the only way to reduce the fraud and scam eBay continues to permit.  Should you feel sorry for the seller, you do a disservice to other eBay victims, you will contribute the the problem.

To anyone who feels a zero tolerance policy is harsh, we invite you to begin your research and to assess how much money is involved, how much profit and just how many people have lost data and files during the past 9 years on eBay.

We are nearing the end of 2011 and while sellers are being suspended, eBay continues to evade responsibility,  despite the fact the issue is over 9 years old.  Progress is being made, but only when buyers report.  This is where you can matter.  You would be very surprised how a single eBay member was able to stop a seller or even reduce the number of victims.    It is all about making a small indivual effort. That little effort can have very sharp teeth.

  • It is important you test your item to find it’s true capacity. Read: H2testw 1.4 – Gold Standard In Detecting USB Counterfeit Drives
  • Do not assume if you have made a paypal claim and it has been closed that you can not reopen it. Many victims have been forced to do this.  If you funded with a credit card, take a short cut.  After reporting to SOSFakeFlash, contact your credit card company and ask them to do a reversal for fraud.  Credit cards are more concerned about your welfare then eBay ever will be.  You are more likely to get your refund.  It is not something eBay will like and you can be assured that eBay will reclaim their loss by removing the sale from the seller via PayPal. After 3 years of operation and experience we can tell you, the secret to getting your money back is to disregard any eBay claim windows or time limits.  People who are persistent succeed.
  • Do not leave positive feedback in exhange for a refund. You only make the problem worse. Under no circumstances should you fall for blackmail – revise your feedback to optain a refund.   Sellers will try to do this to you.  It is up to you to decide if you are a mouse or if you are someone who will not tolerate fraud.  The revision of feedack is probably why you bought from the seller in the first place! Read: eBay Victims do not leave positive Feedback or change FB to positive to get refunds! Any seller who tries to make you do this is in violation of eBay rules. You can report them!  Send all emails to eBay as your proof – demand your refund and do not accept excuses or email robots.

Any company who had been involved directly or indirectly with a transaction involving fake flash memory items is liable andresponsible. There are no “buts” or “maybe”s. Do not belive any seller ploy of “defective or faulty”, this is the oldest scam in selling fake flash memory!  If you fall for it, you allow more victims for your seller.

It is important you become a registered victim of the eBay flash memory fraud:

If you have confirmed that you have a fake (purchased from eBay) and you wanted it entered into the database as evidence so we can post an alert or update counts against a seller we will need the following information from you:

  1. eBay item number
  2. eBay Seller id
  3. Your eBay Buyer id (d0n’t forget this please)
  4. Your output from H2testw 1.4 or F3 by Michel Machado For Linux
  5. eBay item description title
  6. Seller address complete if you have it (mailing envelopes, eBay, PayPal). Important to build profile and track multiple id’s
  7. Seller email address
  8. A short word of you experience and or thoughts if you like (optional)

Reminder, your eBay Buyer id is NOT  published on the internet when you report in to us. eBay fake flash memory seller ids are published on the internet to warn other buyers.  Keeping your identity confidential is important. It allows us to fight fraudulent sellers aggressively.

If your seller used private auction listings to hide the listing, or a multiple item buy now listing please send a screen capture of the listing to help us cut down on the investigation time.

To capture your buy now listing is very important if the seller is not on file with us (eBay Fake Memory Seller Lists) , if the seller is suspended you will lose your evidence and so could we.

Send this information directly to sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com

We will not enter information into the database from a public site without 1-4.

After reporting in to us, please visit the updated Fight Back Page! See how you can make a difference. A lot of people find it very rewarding – even “therapeutic”. Yes, sometimes one needs a little therapy from the fake flash memory experience. A lot of people feel helpless against eBay and powersellers, nothing is further from the truth. This site is the result of people who helped out, they knew you would be coming here someday….

If you are reporting several sellers (it happens) please keep the 1-8 pattern. Easy to understand, the more you save us time the faster we can investigate and enter.

If you do not provide us with the minimun 1-4 we will not investigate nor respond to you.  If you are a genuine buyer it is easy for you to provide the information.

There is no time limit in reporting a seller, you can find a lot of information inside of your paypal account for proof. We have had cases as old as 18 months from purchase being reported. It is why recording in a database is so important.

SOSFakeFlash is very strict about collecting information, data can be support, has witnesses to the fake flash memory deed. The alerts and posts we publish – are based on evidence. Not one post has ever been removed since 2008, despite threats or posturing, can you guess why?

The data we collect is  used to build the list of fake flash memory sellers on eBay. It is also used to issue summary reports on the problem. Data from victims helped us to produce this report: Global Report – eBay Fake Memory 2008 – 2009 , a two year effort. If anyone wants to dispute with us, we can send them an angry mob of fake flash victims. So if you would like to have your item(s) recorded for the record please send us the information above to: sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com

It is important to report even if the seller is already on the list or an alert is issued.

It increases the counts and evidence against the seller and for the degree of fraud on eBay too. . We publish the sellers and the current counts in our eBay fake flash sellers list. We also produce statistics and reports from the information you send.

In your feedback please put the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” + “H2testw“. It helps people to find us and get help. It unnerves fraudulent sellers as it means their days are now numbered. If you left positive feedback, do a follow up to your original feedback – to let everyone know what you discovered. You would be suprised just how much this can help.  If you have a little time, contact at least 5 other buyers from your fake flash seller to warn them to test. It’s a chain reaction, it helps others, reduces victims and soon brings these fraudulent sellers to the attention of both PayPal and eBay.

  4. KittyFireFlash said

    Hi Paul,

Return to Qiu Huizhen? It depends how badly you need your money back. The item will be sold to another eBay member. You may or may not get your refund. You might pay close to your bid price to send it back.

Qiu Huizhen shows up in two counterfeit rings:

    Chen Haijian:

    greatwallseller
    okstore77
    bid2buying
    fleabase
    getwowprice
    showwhat
    xoldskool
    xprodeal

    Qiu Huizhen:

    digitsonic
    egotechbase
    bid2buying

The fraud against eBay members is not in the thousands of $ over time, but in the millions.

egotechbase is a nasty piece of work and like many of these ids uses private auction listings. eBay does absolutely nothing about them despite the fact they are a violation of their policies for private auctions.

Ultimately the decision is yours Paul. The only way to remove the egotechbase id is to fight back. Please send your information with the https://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/report-a-fake/ tab, so we can register you.

Powerseller id’s can be broken. However it requires effort. I suspect a fake flash angel knocked on your door.

We desperately need more people to sign up for this activity. One of the reasons is that eBay limits a member id to only 5 messages a day. To deal with a seller like egotechbase a lot of people are needed otherwise you can expect the id to just keep on frauding. And we will just get more people coming to this site in desperation. It’s how you became a victim Paul. Not enough people fighting the egotechbase id.

For the sellers listed in the counterfeit rings, a lot of them have been suspended. But only when victims organize to fight back…..

You didn’t expect to end up here Paul, but you have. You join hundreds of thousand of eBay members who have been frauded for fake flash memory purchases on eBay.

We’ve reached over 700,000 hits at SOSFakeFlash – it speaks for itself. The magnitude of the fraud.

Every person has a choice to make. Accept the fraud or fight back. This includes against the seller and also eBay. Under no circumstances should anyone accept a 45 day window to claim.

eBay knows very well what is going on. Its over 8 years now. They want the money for listing fees but they will not take responsibility. They have taken over the buyer protection program from paypal. We wonder why. You can guess dear reader!

The key to getting a refund is to refuse to let yourself be frauded.

    No ifs.
    No buts.
    No maybes.

Sellers in the asia know exactly what they are doing. They will exploit eBay and eBay will do anything for the revenue these sellers generate.

Our data indicates refund success comes from peristence. In case where they refuse, Paul, something worse happens for eBay – fake flash commandos are born and they can be nasty.

As far as SOSFakeFlash is concerned, eBay deserves what they get along with the sellers since they will not address the issue.

When feedback and follow up feedback is examined, there is a list of complaints of victims not getting refunds when the item is returned.

In many cases the address is fake. In others members did not get a tracking number, using the cheapest post. We do know that items returned have been recycled – sold to the next bidder.

Do you want your item sent to another eBay member who will end up in your shoes, Paul?

  5. Chuckie said

Hello, Paul. If you would like to help us fight Egotechbase, please, respond to the warning message I sent you via eBay (yes, that was me :-]). The message should still be in your eBay “Inbox” folder, unless you deleted it. We work as a small team, and we would appreciate any help.

If you haven’t received the message (and you found out the truth on your own), please, report it here — it would mean eBay is intercepting our comms (in which case we’d have to adapt somehow).

So far, we haven’t had many reports about the success rate of returning the items to this seller for a refund. However, some of the buyers we warned have already reported they had received used goods — so that’s what probably happens to most of the returns. In any case, good luck with your case.

    ‘Stupid Me’,

This is interesting. Are you saying that all 4 came in the same pkg? Or, you received 4 separate identical packages?

Is there a return address on the pkg? Are they all the same?

If you haven’t done so yet, please send the following information (for each) to: sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com
    1. eBay item number
    2. eBay Seller id
    3. Your eBay Buyer id (d0n’t forget this please)

    5. eBay item description title
    6. Seller address complete if you have it (mailing envelopes, eBay, PayPal). Important to build profile and track multiple id’s Seller email address A short word of you experience and or thoughts if you like (optional)

Be persistent in your communications. Don’t give up. Don’t return the items. Many of us have received full refunds by not giving up.

You can leave follow-up to your positive feedback to warn other buyers. Mention h2testw and SOSFakeFlash so others know where to look for help.

I informed ebay concerning the seller

tutuucake878 from Singapore (my post dated May, 22, 2010)

I sent information for every item he sells on ebay – no reaction only automatic reply by ebay.

He is sellng and selling…. every day appr. 5 faked SD Cards specially to Germany.

Yesterday I informed Singapore Police Department – POLICE REPORT A/20100523/2105

    Andy Devine,

    1) Can you email your report to sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com.
    1. eBay item number
    2. eBay Seller id
    3. Your eBay Buyer id (d0n’t forget this please)
    4. Your output from H2testw 1.4
    5. eBay item description title
    6. Seller address complete if you have it (mailing envelopes, eBay, PayPal). Important to build profile and track multiple id’s
    7. Seller email address
    8. A short word of you experience and or thoughts if you like (optional)

    2) There are several approaches to the ‘return the item’ email.

You are correct. You don’t want to return the item for a number of reasons:
    – the loss of the evidence,
    – can’t trust the return address provided. There have been many documented cases of ‘fake’ addresses.
    – the cost of return shipping with a tracking number
    – the seller could resell the item

    a. In several countries it is illegal to mail fraudulent or counterfeit items. Check your postal regulations. If this applies in your country, contact paypal, ideally by phone and tell them so.

    b. Section 13.4 of the Paypal User Agreement states:
“In the event a seller loses a Claim, the seller will not receive a refund on his or her PayPal or eBay fees associated with the transaction. If you lose a Significantly Not as Described Claim because the item you sold is counterfeit, you will be required to provide a full refund to the buyer and you will not receive the item back (it will be destroyed).”

    The definition of counterfeit is:
“made in imitation so as to be passed off fraudulently or deceptively as genuine; not genuine;”

Again, contact paypal by phone and remind them of their policy.

    3) Don’t give up!

First warning I had was ebay telling me nice.soya.bean had been removed for undisclosed reasons

I cracked open stick identified 8GB memory

found good way of linking many of these sellers to each other (the ones from singapore anyway) been looking at initial feedback in singapore dollars SGD and cross referencing seller ids and see the ones that have been shut down and the ones that are still active

the following were used to prime nice.soya.bean

(identical photos and descriptions doesn’t take a genius to work out they are linked)

I feel sorry for one of my fellow Australians who i saw spend over $100 on one of these fakes, I am now waiting for paypal to do there stuff in the meantime am using stick as 8GB temporary storage for media player (thanks to tools found on google)

after doing search for 128gb usb

    Active auctions NOW

    first listed twice

brand new id no feedback from victims yet

    bluebid_100

    second listed

already has positive feedback from unsuspecting victims

    accwu_212

both meet my model of familiar ids used to prime accounts and like I said before can see other ids both active and inactive

and of course ebays privacy policy omits bidders names (so can’t warm them) its a pity cant use guerilla tactics create throw away id and bid $1 million (but no that would be wrong for us to defend the unsuspecting victims)

I would not condone fake ids or bids and I definitely would not condone fake flash drives

Only 1.9GB of useable!! i didnt contact the seller directly and made a paypal disupte as item not as decribed and imitaion. In the message i pasted the results of the test and demanded a refund.
The seller has written back telling me to post the item back to HK for replacement or refund. After reading some stories on here, i am not keen to do that as they can still snake there way around paypal and come out unscathed.
What should i do now? How should i respond to the seller to make him give me refund first before posting?

    Any help appreciated, thanx.

  21. red said

    Age,

You are correct. Sending it back is not a good idea for many reasons.

In your communications be persistent. This is NOT a defective item, but something that was intentionally altered to deceive. You can tell them if they want the item back, they will have to pay return shipping in advance.

Section 13.4 of the Paypal User Agreement states:
In the event a seller loses a Claim, the seller will not receive a refund on his or her PayPal or eBay fees associated with the transaction. If you lose a Significantly Not as Described Claim because the item you sold is counterfeit, you will be required to provide a full refund to the buyer and you will not receive the item back (it will be destroyed).

    Cheers.

Just to update, He has gotten back to me saying he will cover the postage fee back..though he asked price for cheapest postage.
Now i thought paypal will only refund if it is sent back with tracking? The cheapest postage to HK is air mail for $3(no confirmation or tracking)
but the only one with proper tracking is $37 (item only cost $25)

If i send airmail is there a chance he will say he never recieved it and not refund me?

Or should i say: paypal requires me to send back the item with tracking, the cheapest mail with tracking costs $37 so you might as well refund me and not ask for the item back. as it will be much cheaper for you.

    Anyone had similar problem?

  24. red said

    Age,

You are correct. Insist for a shipping method with tracking number, which they most likely will not agree to. This is critical. If you send without, there is no proof that they received it and they can deny receiving it (another one of their tricks). Also, the address that they provide may not be a legitimate address (another one of their tricks), so for sure they will never receive it. There are documented cases on here, where the item was shipped back to the seller provided address and was eventually returned to the buyer as undeliverable.

Good news got my money back, not told to return or destroy device, and the new Singapore ids have few victims, and as often as I can am warning new victims and referring them here, using my daily 5 emails, also been warning some unsuspecting resellers who on my say so have removed their listings one such seller id “benwool1”, feeling good been getting appreciative emails from new victims

    Found my Mum was a victim from E-bay as well and my Sister from a Melbourne computer market at Box hill, 8 that’s a 4, 8 that’s a 2 and 8 that’s a 1

We are testing one product now since we have found this site, we have another expected to be recieved soon and just won a bid on another. I wish we would have found this site first. 2 of the items are from a seller on your list “Best-Phone_sell.” Looked up the seller and checked out the feedback 99.8% positive. However when we looked closer we found many user ids being used to leave pages of positive feedback, all with the same date:hour:minute:second. It seems that they may be using a program to leave feedback. Cross checked the user ids and most had the same kind of multiple feedback.
We are contacting ebay today to see what we can do about the bid we just one since we know that it is conterfeit.

I recommend all of you only buy from registered sellers. On the other hand when you received the item NOT open a case for item not was described, open a case for NOT RECIEVED item. It is the only way that you will refound all your money. Then you give a NEGATIVE feedback to the seller. This is the way that I have all my money.

    Reporting another fake

    Kingston DT310 – 256 GB flash drive
    Ordered 25-5-2010 – received 10-6-2010
    Seller: ludi315
    EMail: xiumei315@hotmail.com
    Paid AUD 28.99
Had no high expectation of being the full 256 GB for that price.
Was warned by PPAL of the item having been cancelled for sale on EBAY 26-5-2010

Error: Windows does detect the flash-drive but cannot access,
Inserting the drive the first time a password is to be set etc, but of course the supposed to be ROM data does not exist on the drive to do this.
Having taken the drive apart, it reveals a short PCB board with just enough componetry to power up the LED when inserted.

    Update:
Seller didn’t want to compensate the excessive cost for tracking so he said he would give me a refund and still asked me to send the item back by cheapest way after he refunded me! I didn’t agree to send it back but told him to process the refund first. After 3 days later he finally said the refund was sent to me.. yet i never recieved any notifications from paypal at all. He said it would take 2-3 working days to go through.
I feel he is now just trying to buy time untill no one can do anything. After talking to ebay on live help (nightmare to talk to anyone real at paypal)they wern’t helpful at all! They just said It’s between you and the seller if your postage cost gets refunded, even though i was saying it was a crime to send counterfiet items and against the law etc…
They didn’t want to hear it and just read off of script cards.. Pathetic.
Well i’ll let you know how it goes when i get the next response.

Thanks for all the help so far.

“On the other hand when you received the item NOT open a case for item not was described, open a case for NOT RECIEVED item.”

This would only apply to the few that discover theirs is a fake prior to leaving feedback & will not assist other buyers UNLESS that feedback then states:

“Did not send advertised device. Sent 4GB fake instead!”

Thus validating an “Item Not Received” claim IMO.

Hello. I am a victim of fake USB flash sticks and MP with fake flash. I have filed many disputes and claims against those sellers, and have won most of the claims. However, recently Paypal has been sending me email messages stating that if I wanted to qualify for any full or partial refund for many items, then I am required by Paypal policy to return the counterfeit items to the sellers. Paypal stated that it is the buyers responsibility to pay for registered return shipping charges which provide tracking numbers. When questioned on the phone regarding this policy, they stated that it doesnt matter if the seller had committed a federal crime, the item must be returned to them if I wanted any refund. This requirement is new, as I have successfully recovered my money from many claims. I always provide H2testw data as my evidence. Today I received an email from Paypal that the H2testw data is not recognised as genuine evidence, and should I choose to continue with one of the claims I am required by Paypal to submit evidence provided by a certified source such as a law enforcement official. I have also noticed that many of the fraudulent sellers are still registered on eBay.

I spoke with Paypal on the phone. In regards to the policy to return fake/counterfeit items to the seller, Paypal stated it is not Paypals responsibility to police eBay site nor their concern on what the seller does with the fake/hacked memory devices. They went as far as stating that if the seller chose to resell the item on eBay or another site, Paypal has no involvement in preventing it.

Paypal has also stated that it is solely the buyers responsibility to chose to report the sellers to federal authorities, not Paypals.
I am currently gathering my evidence against these sellers as well as Paypals email messages regarding these claims. Hopefully I have enough evidence on my own to press charges on both the seller and eBay and Paypal for their involvement in allowing and contributing to these federal crimes.

I hope that the evidence submitted to this site can be used by federal authorities in bringing charges to those responsible for these crimes. Please continue to submit your H2testw results, and maintain record of all Paypal and eBay emails which can be used to prove their involvement in these crimes.

Another thing that we as victims of these crimes should do, whether successful in our claims or not, is to contact your local and state/provincial Better Business Bureau. File greivances against both eBay and Paypal for their lack of involvement in prosecuting the fraudulent sellers, and for giving us the buyers such difficulties in processing our claims when valid, certified evidence has been provided. By filing these complaints with the BBB, for every fake flash device purchased (which probably number in the hundreds of thousands or millions), then eBay and Paypal will quickly receive massively negative ratings. This thereby causes eBay and Paypal to lose investors by the thousands. This is how to ensure that proper changes are adopted by eBay and Paypal, therefore hopefully reducing the number of fraud cases.

Right now both eBay and Paypal dont care about our claims of fraud. Call them and you will see for yourself. They would rather us victims did not pursue a claim, and have placed policies in place to discourage us victims from pursuing claims (you the buyer must pay for registered return shipping to qualify for refunds). They only care about getting paid, to make their profit, and they wont make a profit if we keep filing claims.

Hopefully things will change and soon.

Here is an update regarding my previous post. I sent to Paypal my H2testw results as they requested, but they told me that the results are inadmissible and they wanted certified proof from a public servant (law enforcement, judge, politician, etc.). To Paypal and eBay both, I say this… you have been issued due process… I will be submitting my evidence to federal authorities,… since eBay and Paypal are clearly attempting to discourage claims to be filed in regards to fake flash devices, they are accessories to the crime, are encouraging the crime, and are participating in the crime by allowing their services to be used to launder money (since they are profiting from every sale.) eBay and Paypal have allowed tens to hundreds of millions of dollars in the sale of FAKE and HACKED devices. I am sure when an investigation takes place, they will be found guilty of conspiring to act as a money launderer of criminals, in addition to many other federal charges. Unfortunately for Paypal and eBay, I have many family members that are lawyers, judges, politicians, or journalists or I have friends who are. I will be speaking with my journalist cousin to see if he can go forth with an investigation into our claims. He works for the local news, and knows many people in the industry (since he was a graduate at the top of his class).

I never wanted a fight, only to get my money back from the crooks and thieves… but eBay and Paypal have continuously provided obstacles against us/me in the prosecution of these fraudulent sellers and have allowed many of them to continue selling counterfeit goods. Let’s all hope for the best.

    Joe, about your comment:

    Report A Fake

Perhaps now you know why people keep working on this site and the others. It’s over 8 years now. The fight began in earnest about May 2008. We’ve come a long way but to make eBay’s castle of fake flash memory profit crumble will take a lot more work. They keep getting more sneaky.

The people at PayPal are probably having a lot of bad hair days. They should. Everyone should do their best to make their lives miserable and they have so many frauded buyers over the years.

I personally would love to be a fly on the wall in the board rooms of eBay and PayPal.

    1) The switch from PayPal protection to eBay buyer protection, whose idea was it? eBay or PayPals?

    2) The new design attempts to block direct escalation and suggest people “dialogue with fraudulent sellers”?

    3) The recent pulling of so many fraudulent listings, mostly buy now with lightening speed.

For #3 everyone, it is not eBay trying to clean up fraud. It is to erase the magnitude of the fraud.

Our investigators and documentors are in over drive. The project has no intention of letting the information or truth disappear.

Anything you can do, Joe to help expose this fraud would be much appreciated. This goes for all readers. Do what you can. Make the biggest noise at any internet site that deals with usb flash drives, mp players and memory cards. It’s time to turn up the heat some more.

Never, accept never from either eBay or PayPal. Remember Superman’s fight – 8 months and every single penny back from all the sellers. If he can do it and win, so can YOU!

Update: Finally received my full refund back without having to send the counterfeit drive back! I will now leave neg feedback with special keywords to warn any future buyers..

BTW I wish you great success with your case Joe, PayPal and Ebay were nightmares to try and deal with! They deserve whats coming to them for allowing this to continue for so long!

    Hi Guys,

I too got caught out by the Fake Flash Drive cons:

Bought from ebay user xinshifeng (chenxiping118@yahoo.com.cn) who has been kicked from eBay, but
PayPal still want me to jump through hoops for a refund, even though I’ve proved it’s
a fake flash drive. It even has a fake Sony logo, but it wasn’t sold as Sony on the auction.
I opened a dispute with PayPal and the seller offered a 1EUR refund which I declined… WTF ?
PayPal now want me to return the item to qualify for a refund, but WTF, I will ask the seller to
pay for p&p, cheap return would be £6 for Airmail (only tracked until it leaves UK), then £49.39
    for Parcel Force Global Priority.
The address is probably fake too:

Hi, I got a 32gb usb memory pen stick from obamastores2 (ebay) All seemed ok when received late Jan 2010 so gave good feedback. Shortly after, problems arose. Properties stated 8gb. Sent email to ebay address advising such. was advised to format it but was unable to do it in Wxp or W7. Further contact resulted in being told to send item back for a replacement or refund. I sent item back to Peng Cheng Hui (OB) 32b, XiaoFeng Building, YouYi Road, Luohu District, Shenzhen, 518002, Guangdong Province, China. After not hearing anything I sent another email asking whats happening. Reply was have checked at postoffice, received item so they will send replacement. That was mid April. Still waiting and any emails I send to obamastores2@gmail.com I get an immediate reply:Dear friend,
    Thanks for your message.
As i am so busy recently,so your email will be replied as soon as possible..:-)
    Please don’t worry.
    Best regards,
    obamastores

They are still trading on ebay
If only I had done a search before bidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks, Keith.
