Since January 2012, SOSFakeFlash and other project sites observe prices dropping for usb flash memory pen sticks and memory cards. The price decreases are astonishing! United States eBay Holds Second Place For Flash Memory Fraud 2012. mope4370 eBay Fake Flash Memory Seller – United States. Why Do People Think USA eBay Sellers Are Safe For Flash Memory?

Posted by KittyFireFlash on January 11, 2012

mope4370 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake hacked – false capacity memory) Flash USB drives and memory cards. Registered in the United States, mope4370 sold them in early 2010. Too many eBay buyers trust eBay sellers in the United States to bid and buy usb flash drives and memory cards, it is a big mistake.

Did you know that sellers registered on eBay USA are the second biggest source for the sale of fake flash memory? The United States currently holds 2nd place for flash memory fraud, just behind eBay China in SOSFakeFlash databases. The United Kingdom holds 5th place for eBay flash memory fraud.

Do frauded flash memory buyers get refunds from USA eBay sellers? Yes, they do, if they are committed and persistent. If they are willing to accept claims from sellers about the flash memory items being “defective” they will not. The truth is, H2testw testing, will let you know if the flash memory capacity is genuine or not. Manipulated flash memory chips overwrite the same area, again and again, that is the trick behind upgraded flash memory. Just try and access the files above real capacity, they won’t be there.

Warning: Only 125086 of 127968 MByte tested.

You will find some sellers blaming suppliers. They will try to get a sympathy vote, explaining you must return the item(s) so they can return them to the supplier. First of all, it is illegal in most countries to use the postal system to transport counterfeit and fraudulent items. Second, almost all sellers will ignore you once you have posted the item(s). The evidence is no longer in your possession so why should they bother with you?

Sadly, it is the trust eBay buyers have for USA sellers that has led United States eBay reaching second place in flash memory fraud. If the current trend continues, eBay in the United States could soon claim first place for flash memory fraud replacing China.

It seems buyers are just not willing to accept fake fake flash memory is sold by sellers in the United States. Buyers frauded by Asian eBay sellers show no mercy. Why the problem continues to grow on eBay in the United State are buyer naivety and denial.

Not all buyers the United States are fooled. They do not show favoritism to an American seller caught selling fakes. They understand the issue.

eBay may have a limitation of 45 days to initiate a claim. SOSFakeFlash issues alerts without a limitation of when the item(s) was sold. Can you report a seller especially one not on file, long after the fact? Yes, provided you send us information to support your claim. It is not about a “Witch Hunt”, it is about documenting the fraud on eBay for flash memory. If frauded buyers did not report, how would we be able to report eBay USA has reached second place?

Important tips for eBay buyers in the United States trying to wrestle a refund from fraudulent sellers in the USA. Advise the USA eBay seller that you will:

1. Contact the USA postal service and report mail fraud.
2. Contact the Attorney General in the eBay Seller’s state

Make sure you have your proof and testing results before you proceed. You will suddenly find the 45 day eBay claim window fading into unimportance. Keep your information and evidence.

Anyone who chooses to bid and buy flash memory on eBay should always capture the listing they won, as soon as they have won it. You can save it to disk, it might come in handy if the item turns out to be a fake. eBay will remove the listing information as soon as the seller is discovered and you will no longer be able to access the information. So preserve it! Keep the mailing envelope(s) you receive, do not throw them away until H2testw testing determines you bought genuine capacity. The seller addressing information matters.

If you preserve the information then a seller can be caught long after the fact. It is how mope4370 joined other eBay USA sellers in the database for flash memory fraud.

SOSFakeFlash Memory Warriors Against Fraud And Scam On eBay Notice 201201.

Posted by KittyFireFlash on January 7, 2012

Team captains, please contact your cell members. Instructions and details available at the alternate site. Phase IV against eBay fraud has been activated. News has been updated. Decrypt key, add your personal to the following:

^^%$#1976HGgbt52$

The schedule is aggressive. Ensure members meet the merge target deadlines.

Independent fighters, your efforts are important. To defeat eBay continuing in the scam of selling fake mp players, usb flash drives and memory cards your actions are necessary. The more geographical regions and countries participate the better the end result. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. The action of every individual has impact.

Frauded buyers, we expect you to learn from your mistake, to take action and to participate. You have the most important voice. You should not revise your feedback for a refund. You should not accept “No Returns” from a seller. You should not accept “defective” as an excuse from a seller regardless of seller country. H2testw will reveal the truth to you. You should not accept any eBay 45 day claim window. Never use the postal system to return fake and counterfeit flash memory, it is a crime in most countries and both eBay and PayPal are aware of this. Should you have difficulty with a refund and if you were smart enough to fund with a credit card instead of your bank account, contact the credit card company immediately for a reversal of the purchase on the ground of fraud. Your credit card is more concerned about your purchasing safety than eBay or PayPal. Both promote “Buyer Protection”, but as four years of date demonstrate, nothing is further from the truth. You can raise awareness by warning your friend on FaceBook and seeding the internet with references to SOSFakeFlash to get information and help.

Reporting your eBay fake flash memory sellers using the Report A Fake tab is a key element to block the contagion of fake flash memory on eBay. It is a disease of hungry profit madness that seller, eBay and PayPal participate in. You are the victim, your data suffers the consequences.

eBay. Why Do People Bid And Buy 256GB USB Leather Pen Thumb Memory Flash Stick Drives With Free Shipping? The Scam For 16 32 64 128 256 GB Fake Capacity.

Posted by DragonDakel on March 28, 2011

USB leather flash drives, eBay members bid and buy, bid and buy. Sadly anyone who buys it at an advertised capacity of more than 4GB is asking for trouble. Fraud is waiting. False capacity is waiting – hacked memory. Yet, despite many warnings from FrankenFlash Project sites, members on eBay rush to buy one, often several at a time.

Can anyone tell us why?

BidOn256GBLeatherPenThumbMemoryStick

Even FakeFlashNews recently issued a warning:

Danger! Do Not Buy USB Leather Pen Thumb Memory Flash Stick Drives On eBay! Fake Capacity Sold 16GB 32GB 64GB 128GB 256GB.

Still, people rush to buy them.

One of us has a glass jar filled with these hacked leather usb flash drives. A reminder of a stupid mistake made years ago on eBay. It’s a good motivator to keep pounding on the keyboard.

Did you bid for one on eBay? If you did and so far not paid for it, cancel the sale and transaction immediately. Report the seller to eBay.

If you want to see what they really look like inside read this:

Proving A Fake USB Flash Memory Pen Drive Stick Pen To Be False Capacity – A Visual Example – Guide Made Easy

If you paid and tested the capacity, or opened it up to decode the flash memory storage chip, make sure you file a dispute to get your money back. Warn other people too.

At FakeMemorySentinel we are issuing warnings on any eBay seller who lists them at advertised capacity of more than 8 GB. They do exist at 16GB at internet sites outside of eBay. However, they are sold by reputable companies, they “Logo” them – emboss with your companies name or promotion and they are not cheap.

Urgent Message To eBay Sellers! How Cheap Are Kingston DT310 USB DataTraveler Flash Drives Wholesale?

Posted by KittyFireFlash on March 15, 2011

Did you know selling DT310 usb flash drives on eBay is Hot? You can buy them cheap, sell them high! For a small investment you can make up to 5X return for each item you buy wholesale. Even with eBay listing fees and the percentage eBay and PayPal charge you, the return is at least 400%.

There is only one little problem you face as an eBay seller selling DT310 256GB flash drives on eBay……

Your 4~5X profit will be lost if you did not buy them from a recognized Kingston authorized source. You will be selling fakes. Your usb flash drives will fizzle and pop shortly after your buyer tries to store data on them. Many hacked counterfeit DT310 usb flash drives lock up as soon as the real capacity is exceeded. Most don’t have more than 4GB of flash memory chips inside.

What happens when your buyers discover you sold them fakes? You will get negative feedback, they will raise a dispute, PayPal might lock your account and dip into your bank account to reclaim the money you owe buyers. PayPal can have very sharp teeth and fraudulent sellers fear them more than Americans do the IRS.

eBay might banish you from selling, a suspension up to one year. Is it worth the temptation?

If you buy from a Kingston authorized source you won’t be making a large profit, only a modest one. You won’t be able to list them for under $700 US unless you are in the business of loosing money.

A lot of people are buying these hot fakes on eBay, in all buyer countries. When they discover the truth, they will not be returning them to you. They no longer have to. eBay changed the rules.

PayPal Refunds – Counterfeit Items Policy Change Nov 01 2010. What Does This Mean For Fake Flash Memory? MP Players, USB Flash Drives, Memory Cards? Hacked Memory Awareness Growing.

It’s not rocket science for a frauded buyer to do a validation with Kingston for the DT310 you sold them.

Kingston USB Flash Drives. How To Check You Have A Genuine One And Not A Counterfeit – Easy Guide. Kingston Technologies Fighting To Protect Consumers And Itself From Counterfeits.

If it proves a “Counterfeit” not just fake capacity you loose, your buyer wins the case. You won’t be able to con them by saying the DT310 was defective or faulty. The Kingston validation will make things crystal clear.

In Asia wholesaling internet sites offer fake Kingston DT310 usb flash drives routinely. Just how cheap?

eBay Fighting Back – SOSFakeFlash

We are volunteers, nobody pays us. Like you, we have been victims on eBay. Most of us got our refunds. We could have disappeared into a new fake flash free life but we chose not to. Why? The answer is simple. You are reading this site. We knew there would be new victims. Somebody has to warn others. We are also disgusted by eBay groveling for pennies, protecting fraudulent sellers and allowing eBay members to be frauded for over eight years. Right now we are in phase III against eBay. In each phase we continue to turn up the heat. eBay refuses to change the policy for listing flash memory, they want the money from listing fees. If you research this site carefully, you will come to the same conclusion. You, the victims empower us to work on your behalf. eBay does not like this site, but eBay members who are victims of fake flash memory do.

eBay Fake Memory Seller Lists

SOSFakeFlash documents eBay seller id’s who have sold fake usb pen sticks, memory cards and mp players. The lists become a permanent record against a seller id. Should a seller attempt to rename the id (often done), SOSFakeFlash will issue a new alert and also update the lists to the new id. The recorded information in the databases is transferred to the new id. There is no escaping the long arm of SOSFakeFlash. eBay sellers who sold fake flash memory don’t get to tip toe into the night or escape their history of fraud.

These lists are often consulted by eBay buyers.

The lists provide a record eBay and fake flash memory sellers can not escape. No internet site can match the number of fraudulent eBay sellers on file with SOSFakeFlash. The purpose is to record eBay’s participation in fraud and to ensure there is a record.

The current lists are here: eBay Fake Flash Memory Seller Lists

These lists have an important feature, if you click on the seller id, you can access the negative and neutral feedback – quickly.

You will find in some cases no negative or neutral feedback for a seller listed. The reasons?

  • Buyers left positive feedback, then discovered they purchased a fake and sent in documenting evidence using the Report A Fake tab.
  • The seller was suspended by eBay, preventing buyers from leaving negative and neutral feedback.

Reporting sellers provides an opportunity to record a fraudulent seller, despite having left positive feedback or eBay suspending the seller in an attempt to hide how serious the problem is.

The eBay Fake Memory Seller Lists prevent any attempts to bury or hide the issue.

If you have exceeded your 45 day claim window, but found your seller on the lists, you should demand your refund from eBay and accept no excuses – even if you purchased 2 years ago! eBay very aware of the issue, they just want you to disappear or give up with their email robots. Don’t!

eBay Fake Flash Memory Counterfeit Rings

SOSFakeFlash actively engages in detecting counterfeit rings operating on eBay. The clues come from frauded buyers who report in using the report a fake tab.

As of December 2009, SOSFakeFlash has 44 counterfeit rings on file. The ring with the most eBay seller id’s? XU GANG with 24 eBay id’s.

The 3totrade counterfeit ring is special, belonging to the original Don of fake flash memory in the orient. Everyone was so curious about this ring it led to a covert visit to the address in China! This counterfeit ring is the reason SOSFakeFlash started an internet presence!

32B, XiaoFeng Building Address Fake Flash Memory Selling On eBay. On Site Visit To The Don Of Fake Flash In The Orient

Occasionally articles are published on the eBay id connections, their addresses, contact names and even email addresses. You can help build the connections by sending in your information to SOSFakeFlash. Sellers frequently change addresses, this is not a problem so long as frauded eBay members continue to report in. Often eBay sellers in their hurry to change addresses make serious mistakes, leading us to more fraudulent sellers!

Received an address in Chinese? Not a problem. You can copy paste into google translation. If it is printed on a label and you know someone with OCR software you can scan, pick up the characters and then paste into google translation. If you don’t have OCR software for a shipping custom label, find someone who reads Chinese and ask them to translate the address for you.

It’s important you all know we receive help and leaked information from Oriental people who are outraged and angry about hacked flash memory being sold. They are taking great personal risks in countries where law is not friendly to whistle blowers. They have our RESPECT!

In helping us to identify the counterfeit rings, you embarrass and shame eBay. You make it impossible for eBay to deny the fraud, how massive it is – millions of US dollars annually and you provide evidence that may well become useful in criminal prosecution. Flash memory fraud on eBay is highly organized, your information helps prove it!

Fake Flash Memory Seller Detection – FakeMemorySentinel

FakeMemorySentinel is the FrankenFlash project site dedicated to detecting fraudulent sellers and listings. Almost all sellers end up disappearing or being reported for fake flash memory sales. So far, no one has written in to say a seller sold true capacity. The team at this site  is the most experienced in detecting fake flash memory. Their site covers eBay and internet wholesaling sites. So many sellers list and are suspended shortly afterwards on internet sites. FakeMemorySentinel makes sure a footprint is left when all other information disappears.

FakeMemorySentinels’s job is to warn people to test usb flash drives, memory cards and mp players to ensure they received the advertised capacity. Many warnings about eBay sellers at FakeMemorySentinel lead to investigations by SOSFakeFlash.

To eBay seller qasim12345’s credit, he refunded and apologized. qasim12345 deregistered from eBay. A member since 2008, almost all internet traces on this id have vanished.

How did this happen so quickly? eBay races to remove information as fast as they can from the internet and members of the FrankenFlash project do their level best to match them by capturing the information. You, the frauded buyers assist us with all the information you send in.

Ever since we announced:

SOSFakeFlash Announces Operation Fake Flash Storm Against eBay. Objective? Demonstrate How Widespread Selling Of False Capacity Flash Memory. USB Flash Drives. Memory Cards. MP Players.

eBay attempts to fight new ways, to block the flow of information for fake flash memory items sold on eBay. Fortunately, it is not succeeding, mostly because of you, the buyers.

The fight to protect consumers from fake flash memory purchases on eBay continues……

At SOSFakeFlash we tend to agree with buyers that qasim12345 was a victim seller, but why run? Unfortunately honest sellers do not run, they face the music and accept their mistake. Did you know that victim sellers helped to found SOSFakeFlash?

Anyone who wishes to sell mp players, memory cards or usb flash drives on eBay had better do their homework first. Research their product, learn about the current market prices for flash memory chips and ensure they test their products to ensure they have not been deceived.

SOSFakeFlash’s zero tolerance policy remains. There is no favoritism. A Western eBay seller will be documented and published just as easily as an eBay seller based in Asia.
