Corsair now has to warn people too. SOSFakeFlash is already aware of the problem. Victims have reported in for their purchases from eBay. One even created a website to document the eBay transaction and disassembled the fake for everyone to see.

There appear to be a number of eBay sellers who may escaped our nets. Since eBay suspended quite a few fake flash sellers prematurely, Fake Flash Angels were unable to contact and rescue victims. Are you one of them?

The sellers on the list below were not investigated. SOSFakeFlash has no way of proving or disproving they were involved in fake flash selling. A few have changed their eBay id names. Please review this list. Do you see a seller you recognize? That you bought from? An item of false capacity? Listing information does disappear on eBay but you will find a lot of it remains inside of PayPal. You can examine and hunt for information needed in Paypal if you find a seller name listed that you remember. Did the seller sell genuine capacity? Or was it a fake? In 2008 at the end of August, members of the FrankenFlash project launched this website to provide information and assistance to victims of false capacity usb flash drives, memory cards and mp players.

The project was founded by both eBay buyers and sellers. The sellers were victim sellers and sold fake flash. They refunded each and every buyer in full and apologized. They also set the standards by which fake flash sellers on eBay would be measured. Surprised?

Since then the seller has yet again changed his eBay id name. It is now fabulous3d. In changing the name, it makes it difficult to search on this seller, bad for victims – it also demonstrates guilt and evasion. eBay sellers who have sold fake flash devices can not out run or avoid their responsibilies. The rules set by eBay sellers who were victims, accidentally selling fake flash. A seller must contact each and every buyer. Refund every buyer in FULL, including shipping and handling. Offer a sincere apology to every buyer.

In selling false capacity usb flash drives, a seller sells data poison. It does not matter if they knew or not. Data dies.
