kinhome88 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) MP Players. Registered in China, kinhome88 has sold more than 435 so far. kinhome88 will try to bargain with you for your fake MP Player when you try to get a refund. Fraud is fraud and if you are a victim – stand up or let the fake flash seller victimize you a second time.
A victim reports:
I complained to the seller about the player and told him that I had tested it and knew it was fake and wanted a refund. Here is his response:

Hi friend
Thanks for your reply
I am afraid we will only be able to refund you 40% of the amount you paid for the item
You can see we sell the item,we need to pay for the postage and ebay listing fee and then most expensive the cost of the item itself
We actually don’t make any profits by doing the transaction with you which you can check from the winning price
I know some problems is difficult to avoid, but your bid is effective on ebay and we must be responsible for you
So we dicide to provide you resolution on the problem
I really want to help you as much as i can, but you know i really can’t afford any price much higher than the 40% of the item amount
I hope you can understand
All the best
Kin
Important Reading:
Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
Don’t forget to leave the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” in your feedback to help others. Do not change your feedback to get a refund – you will only create more victims. See what we have on file.

Why are fake usb pen sticks, MP players and memory cards sold on eBay? The false capacity ranging from 2GB 4GB 8GB 16GB 32GB 60GB 64GB 120GB 240GB 260GB 360GB to 500GB sizes.
One size is advertised but the true size is much smaller! You buy a 16GB MP player but only get 2GB or 4GB of storage. You buy a 16GB usb flash drive and get 1GB or 2GB of storage, maybe 4GB if you are lucky. You buy a 16GB memory card and only get 2GB or 4GB. When it comes to usb flash drives and memory cards, the digital alteration of the controller flash chip is deadly – you lose your data! Do the ebay sellers know what they are doing? Is there a reason?
Recently SOSFakeFlash asked for stories, experiences. We received one, an explicit conversation between a fake flash seller and a buyer victim. It dates to the summer of 2008 and nothing since has changed. It is published exactly as received. It might be long but if you want answers start reading! Read the rest of this entry »

SOSFakeFlash along with other groups in the FrankenFlash Project have been steadily turning up the heat in an effort to force eBay to address the problem of false capacity items being sold there. A difficult challenge, but one eBay victims are committed to. After 6 years of victims – it must stop. It is mulit million dollar fraud.
The lastest eBayer to join the effort and investigate is Badger. If you want to see what eBay is up to, what they have done or are doing you need to read this. Victims of fake mp players, usb flash drives and memory cards purchased on eBay learn a very hard and disturbing lesson. Not only do they lose money, they lose data. eBay members also learn the chilling truth about “buyer experience improvements” on eBay and on “Buyer Protection” offered by PayPal. Many leave eBay. Many never see a refund as PayPal wears them down with a game of email round robins, the stop watch ticking against the eBayer with time limits for claims.
One ebay member has something he would like to share with you. We are interested in your opinions.

It is no secret that eBay is NOT the place to buy flash devices such as usb flash drives, memory cards or MP Players. There are genuine sellers of these items on eBay but they are few and hard to find -buried under the cheap and not so cheap fake flash heap. The traffic in counterfeit and fake (flash capacity) has been around for a long time on eBay, old eBay members say it dates back to 2003 but most internet evidence starts appearing in 2005.
eBay Fake Flash sellers come and go. The most recent trend is to use Private Auctions so that there is no evidence of what was purchased. This is against the intent eBay had for the use of such listing. Like other fake flash sellers they do get found out. But these sellers add to their crimes when they are caught by a member. SOSFakeFlash has seen this repeatedly in eight months of investigating.
Seeing it is believing it. Here is one of the most obvious and glaring examples.

FlashStormer is an eBayer currently battling for refunds from many eBay Sellers of fake flash. He would not give in.
