128GB Flash Drives Penstick Memory eBay Urgent Warning To All eBay Members. Tsunami Wave Of False Capacity Flash Drives. eBay Unable To Cope With Fake Memory Sellers Who Scam!

Posted by KittyFireFlash on March 25, 2010

Do not bid or buy any 128 GB Memory Usb flash drives on eBay. The FrankenFlash project began operation Fake Flash Storm against eBay on March 20 2010. Little did anyone know just how deep the problem is.

Currently eBay is attempting to suspend sellers and erase information on listings with lightening speed. The team at FakeMemorySentinel is trying to preserve information. Normal operation of SOSFakeFlash has been impacted. All efforts focus on investigation. Several sources have been identified as a conduit for entry into eBay. Internet sites are being examined. To protect eBay members we are unable to reveal, what we are tracking. We can say that you the victims and readers, have provided clues we needed!

Thousands of fake capacity USB flash drives have been sold on eBay in the last month. Most in buy now multiple item listings. We urge everyone to test their usb thumb drives purchased on eBay immediately with H2testw immediately.

Under no circumstances should you consider returning a fake to the fake flash memory seller on orders of eBay or PayPal. Instead you should challenge and fight them as they are complicit in the fraud.

Operation Fake Flash Storm is revealing that eBay members in many countries are being scammed. Education and awareness is key in this battle.

Please visit any internet technology site you can find and post a warning against buying 128 GB flash drives on eBay. This is very important for Kingston DT200 128GB flash drives. In many listings sellers have frauded as many as 750 people with only one listing. We are unable to understand how members believe they can buy 128 GB capacity for $50 US or less! It is their lack of awareness on the true costs that lead them to become victims.

Read Current Prices For Genuine Kingston DataTraveler 200 128GB USB2.0 Flash Drives DT200/128GB And For Fakes – A Guide.

If you are a victim of a fake 128 GB flash drive purchased on eBay PROTEST! Use your own personal web space or page to document your experience, in your language! Post your photos, post your evidence.

Link to https://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/

The only way to fight this fraud is to use the internet to educate, to warn and to protest!

Patrol for any 128 GB usb flash drives for sale on eBay. Report at SOSFakeFlash, then report the sellers to eBay, in that order. Do screen captures first of the listing to preserve the evidence as eBay will try to delete the information.

Because eBay is trying to hide the truth by suspending sellers, attempting to warn other buyers is of little use. Therefore, SOSFakeFlash asks that you use the internet to speak out about the truth. Warn your country, warn in your language.

Be a part of operation Fake Flash Storm, say NO! to fraud and the damage fake capacity does to files and data. If the message does not get out on the internet, there will be more victims just like you and the frauding will continue. You have a choice and you have a voice, please help us to help all of you!

Report your information to sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com . Leave comments also at this site.

SOSFakeFlash Quick Note 20100206

Posted by KittyFireFlash on February 6, 2010

TeamFatigueWe are racing to build the new eBay Fake Flash Memory seller lists. The current lists have 848 sellers, we now have 913 documented! You don’t have very much time left, to report in to SOSFakeFlash if your seller is not on the current ones!

If your testing proves you have a fake flash memory item, please make sure to leave SOSFakeFlash in your feedback! It helps other buyers to find help at our site! If you don’t have time to warn other buyers for your seller, “Google SOSFakeFlash” in feedback makes a difference!

If you left positive feedback, you can still have the last word, do follow up feedback and let everyone know the truth!

The FrankenFlash Project and SOSFakeFlash are noticing eBay is scrambling. There are changes in how disputes are to be settled. At the moment, it is not clear what this will mean. A lot depends on which eBay site you bought the item from and your eBay country of registration. SOSFakeFlash will tell you more once we have additional information.

We have been told that eBay sellers in the Orient do not have to paid listing fees to eBay if they advertise on ebay.com! This is discrimination.

It gives an unfair advantage to eBay sellers in the Orient at the expense of American eBay sellers! Many people are unaware of this.

In the fight against fake memory products, SOSFakeFlash has only one conclusion, eBay has sold it’s soul.

It is important you do not take “No” for an answer in dealing with eBay or PayPal. It does not matter if you have exceeded the 45 day claim window. They know what is going on and will want you to give up. Don’t!

Analysis of data and victims indicates a more aggressive approach is needed. A new team is being formed and they do not have to follow the rules of SOSFakeFlash or the general rules of the FrankenFlash Project. We will tell you more about them when we know more…. SOSFakeFlash as a zero tolerance policy. The new group has minus zero tolerance.

Because victims are not being heard by eBay or PayPal, more are choosing not to create a dispute as “item not described”, but simply as item not received. It is not “correct behavior”. SOSFakeFlash does not recommend this action. However, when a seller is documented and if eBay refuses to take action against a seller, or assist in warning buyers and refunding them – the action can be understood.

The burden lies on eBay to address the issue of Fake Flash Memory items: memory cards, usb flash drives, mpx players. Seven years is enough!

Is it allowed to sell children, firearms or poison on eBay? No.

If eBay can not stop the sell of fake memory products, they have an obligation to ban the items for sale. Period! No excuses are accepted. If you reached this site, you are most likely a victim of fake flash memory.

You can make a difference. Fight back and say “NO“!

Posted by KittyFireFlash on December 2, 2009

If you are warning eBay members about your fake flash seller(s) or those documented at SOSFakeFlash as an independent Fake Flash Angel, please assist us by making things easier to document and record. It is a struggle to keep up- we receive a lot of information that is incomplete.

Do you know what happens to incomplete information? It goes into a “To Be Investigated” Folder. The problem is, we don’t have the time and we never get around to it. There are just too many fake flash sellers on the loose. Some eBay sellers can unleash as many as 2000+ fake flash memory items in a period of a few weeks.

So how can you help us?

SharpEdge said:

I asked for a replacement (tested BEFORE shipping) .

My email to seller:

Dear mememao9898,

Received item – thanks.
However, copied 9Gb of data but upon retrieving -corrupted.
Verified data as good ,re-copied but again, upon retrieval – corrupted.
Seems that after 4Gb – corrupts.
Checked with a recommended usb testing tool which verified that it’s only 3.8Gb storage capacity.
I would like to return the item for replacement.
Please supply full address for return and confirmation of you’re return policy.
Could you check the replacement and verify that it is 16Gb BEFORE sending.

Regards

– SharpEdge

SharpEdge observed:

As you can see , no option but refund even though I asked for REPLACEMENT rather than refund.

My email to seller:

I see that the refund transaction is already progress.
I did not really want a refund but a replacement.
Anyway ….thanks .
I have been to the Post Office and the cheapest shipping/postage option available is at £6.19 (this is more than half of the cost of the device !!!).
Please let me know if you are willing to reimburse/credit and then I will send/ship the faulty/fake device.
Also, how will this be paid to me when you receive it ?
Please advise and I will send you authentication of post/shipping and tracking of the parcel.
Or better still, please send another replacement (checked and verified that it is definitely 16Gb and I will pay immediately – see my profile).

– SharpEdge

Sellers response:

Dear SharpEdge,

Dear friend,

Thanks for your reply and your checking with the post office.

The postage cost in your palce is still too high to us.

If we get it back, lessing the post cost and our human resource cost, we could not get much back.

And we have got one other device which got the same problem as yours back already.

So, in this case, please keep it.

Thanks

– mememao9898

SharpEdge Action:

eBay Scam – Urgent! Did You Buy From getwowprice Also Known As greatwallseller?

Posted by KittyFireFlash on September 10, 2009

If you bought an MP Player or usb memory pen stick flash drive from an eBay seller known under the ids of getwowprice and greatwallseller you risk losing information! You may not be aware that you purchased a false capacity device. The advertised capacity was wrong!

The flash storage chips were digitally altered to lie about their real capacity and fool operating systems.

SOSFakeFlash on August 28, 2009 published: getwowprice aka greatwallseller Ebay Fake Flash Seller High Alert Devious – China

Currently known as getwowprice, eBay has suspended this id! getwowprice has been sent to eBay Fake Flash Prison. It is urgent you test immediately! File a claim with paypal. Do not delay.

Currently PayPal is harassing victims of this seller’s scam refusing to cooperate with refunds.

getwowprice aka greatwallseller is one of the worst cases of fraud on file with SOSFakeFlash. Using private auctions this seller frauded thousands of members.

Paypal is not happy. Think of the money they need to refund! Do not let them get away with it! Force them to honour their supposed “Buyer Protection”.

One victim got this email from PayPal.

“Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Hello, my name is Katherine. I hope you understand that it is against PayPal’s policy to retain both the funds and the item therefore we require proof that the item has been returned to the seller before we will issue the refund.

If you fail to provide tracking information within 10 working days the claim will be closed in the seller’s favor and we can only advice you to take this matter outside of PayPal.

Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We value what you have to say, and we know situations like this can be difficult. If you have more questions, visit our Help Center by clicking “Help” in the top right corner of any PayPal page.

Sincerely,
Katherine

This is the standard robotic stupidity paypal engages in . Do not be deceived by it. It is a silly template response. Please review PayPal How Long Do You Have To Claim For A Refund In Disputes? A Guide About PayPal From eBayer’s Experiences.

We advise you examine the telephone numbers available for PayPal: PayPal Telephone Numbers – Quick Reference Guide To Get A Human Responding Instead Of An Email Robot Try to get a human on the phone instead of a computer robot! Do not allow PayPal to make you a victim a second time. This seller’s fraud is amazing and PayPal enjoyed the fee’s.

RescueEbayFakeFlashVictimsBuyers for getwowprice aka greatwallseller need to be warned. In using private auctions, you will not see an eBay item number. It is not needed. If you see ‘Private”, it is hiding a fake MP Player or usb flash drive sold.

If you found this article find at least 5 members who left positive feedback at random. Send them a message. Warn them! Do a good deed. Tell them to test and march their claim to PayPal immediately! You can only send up to 5 messages a day. Save another victim!

Did You Leave Positive Feedback For A Fake Flash Seller Of MP Players, Memory Cards Or USB Flash Drives Purchased On eBay?

Posted by KittyFireFlash on August 14, 2009

LearningDid You Leave Positive Feedback For A Fake Flash Seller Of MP Players, Memory Cards Or USB Flash Drives Purchased On eBay? You are not alone!

Most people only give a quick inspection of their item, they don’t test the full advertised capacity. Afterall, who expected to receive a false capacity item in the first place? Never test by looking at what the operating system tells you about the size, that is the classic trap!

Fake items advertised at 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 120GB, 128GB, 240GB, 360GB, 500GB, 512GB have been digitally altered to lie about their real capacity. Test with H2testw.

You can add to your positive feedback, by doing “Follow Up FeedBack”! Let everyone know the truth!

By putting keywords such as “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” along with the real size and the word FAKE, you can warn others. Fake Flash Sellers hate it! Victims love it!

Don’t forget, if you are still in your claim window race off to PayPal and file a dispute against the seller to get your money back.
