A new website has joined the FrankenFlash Project:
Flash Fake Memory Central – Information – FlashChipDirector
Rushed into service two months ahead of schedule, it is a work in progress. Different from many of the existing websites in the Project, this site sports pull down menus. Different from most blogs, it is more like a traditional website. Why another site? What is it’s purpose?

SOSFaKeFlash is busy investigating eBay sellers and documenting. We are struggling under the load. The holiday period shows escalation. We need every victim who finds this site to help out for December 2009. The easiest way is to make sure you leave sosfakeflash in your feedback so other buyers find this site and the information they need.
We also need people to warn others. Recently a lot of fake flash memory powersellers have suffered damage in negative feedback – as you are all fighting back! The id’s are being taken offline and older id’s are moving into action. One such id is mycandyshop. There are others. You will find more information on how you can help and make a difference on the SOSFakeFlash Notice Board.
We are seeing 32GB usb flash drives being sold at prices as low as $16 US. There are a lot of naive eBay members about to become victims shortly. All current Fake Flash Angels, Fake Flash Commando’s and those who would like to help, please review flash chip prices: Flash Memory Prices Are Rising In 2009 – Up To 25% Since April 2009. Danger Of Grade C and D Being Used In False Capacity MP Players, USB Flash Drives And Memory Cards.
Patrol eBay for sellers and contact buyers. Have them test and report into SOSFakeFlash immediately if they confirm false capacity.
If you want eBay and or Paypal to take action against these sellers, you will have to be aggressive. They addicted to the fees fraudulent sellers for mp3 mp4 players, memory cards and usb flash drives generate. Both are desperate for revenue and would prefer to look the other way. It is up to you to add your voice and say you will not tolerate their complicity in this fraud. They advertise buyer protection, but it is not fact, just advertising to reassure buyers. The records of eBay victims before you at this site make this fact very clear.
If action is not taken by eBay buyers, December 2009 could be the worst fake flash memory selling record in eBay’s history – the highest ever.

If you are warning eBay members about your fake flash seller(s) or those documented at SOSFakeFlash as an independent Fake Flash Angel, please assist us by making things easier to document and record. It is a struggle to keep up- we receive a lot of information that is incomplete.
Do you know what happens to incomplete information? It goes into a “To Be Investigated” Folder. The problem is, we don’t have the time and we never get around to it. There are just too many fake flash sellers on the loose. Some eBay sellers can unleash as many as 2000+ fake flash memory items in a period of a few weeks.
So how can you help us?

Welcome to SOSFakeFlash’s new “Public” notice board for strategy to continue purging eBay of fake flash sellers. You will always find it under Category: Battle Plan – Strategy. Also see: Using The SOSFakeFlash Battle Plan Bulletin Boards – How They Work – Rules
The most serious issues facing us:
- An escalation in 32GB and 64GB false capacity flash memory pen usb drives
- Getting the message out to international websites and forums, especially in languages other than English.
- Ensuring that SOSFakeFlash is left in feedback so that victims can find help when they search on the internet.
- Private auction listings
- Email assistance requests for help with PayPal refunds
- Email assistance requests for help repairing fake mp players, memory cards, usb flash pensticks.
- Getting victims to contact other buyers for a fake flash seller!
- eBay sellers changing their id names or using a new id the moment they get suspended.
- eBay victims who change their feedback to get a refund and create MORE victims because they only thought of themselves and not others!
We are not kidding about the escalation for 32GB and 64GB fake capacity! Sellers are using multiple item listings and frequently private auctions as well. We need people to contact any buyers for these capacities and if they fail testing to report in immediately using the Report A Fake Tab. Early detection is key! Also patrol and leave suspect id’s as comments on this post. You can ask others to assist in contacting buyers for a seller on this article by leaving a comment. It helps people to focus their energy wisely.
eBay members are needed to contact others. We are seeing some evidence of improvement – reports from people who say “I received a message to test”. It helps detect new sellers, to investigate and enter the details into the database. Our fake flash eBay sellers lists are based on reports and also the alerts we issue. SOSFakeFlash has a zero tolerance policy, it takes only one confirmation for a seller to be entered. eBay makes it very difficult for people to warn others, one person has a quota of 5 messages a day, because of this, many people are needed! Read:
If you receive confirmations from a buyer, get them to join you in contacting others for the same seller! Tip. Stick to the same seller for at least one week, or make sure you put the sellers eBay id in your message so you don’t get confused. Sending messages can take less then 15 minutes a day, once you get the hang of it. It can also be fun to reach out to other members and very satisfying when you prevented someone from losing information.
SOSFakeFlash has pulled the rug from under many eBay powersellers, when victims join together! eBay and PayPal are forced to take notice when members unite.

SOSFakeFlash has been asking eBay members who have been victims of fake flash sellers to become more active and aggressive to fight the issue on the home territory – eBay.
Fraudulent sellers get away with selling false capacity usb flash drives, MP Players and memory cards because few test the capacity properly. A quick inspection to see what the operating system reports. Fakes are digitally altered to “fool” operating systems! So buyers leave positive feedback, only to discover the awful truth later. Meanwhile, more members fall into the net, trusting the feedback of previous buyers.
One way to help is as a Fake Flash Angel. Contact people who bought from a fake flash seller and send them a warning message, to test!
An eBay member to be known as “Joe” received such a message from another eBay member.
“Joe” wrote to SOSFakeFlash: Read the rest of this entry »

As an eBay member it is your RIGHT to share your “buying experience” with others and ask them about theirs. If you bought a fake mp player, usb flash drive or memory card you should warn others for the seller. People do not test the capacity properly, they discover the truth much later after leaving positive feedback. Many lose important information.
These sellers on eBay hurt a lot of people and they make a great deal of money. The only way to stop them and shorten their eBay lives is to warn others. eBay only allows a member to send up to 5 messages a day. This quota means one victim can not be effective against a seller, it needs more victims to compensate for the 5 a day message limit.
In 2008, one eBay member asked other buyers about the usb flash drives they purchased. The usb flash drives were fakes. These eBayers also started to contact others.
Soon a full scale war to rid eBay of these items began. There have been many battles and there will be more. The only thing preventing a return to the old days on eBay is YOU!
So how do you warn others? Here is a guide that shows you how. The things to do. The thing’s you should not do. It’s not hard being a fake flash angel, it can take less then 15 minutes a day of your time. Will it make a difference? Yes. Learn why.

Did You Leave Positive Feedback For A Fake Flash Seller Of MP Players, Memory Cards Or USB Flash Drives Purchased On eBay? You are not alone!
Most people only give a quick inspection of their item, they don’t test the full advertised capacity. Afterall, who expected to receive a false capacity item in the first place? Never test by looking at what the operating system tells you about the size, that is the classic trap!
Fake items advertised at 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 120GB, 128GB, 240GB, 360GB, 500GB, 512GB have been digitally altered to lie about their real capacity. Test with H2testw.
You can add to your positive feedback, by doing “Follow Up FeedBack”! Let everyone know the truth!
By putting keywords such as “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” along with the real size and the word FAKE, you can warn others. Fake Flash Sellers hate it! Victims love it!
Don’t forget, if you are still in your claim window race off to PayPal and file a dispute against the seller to get your money back.

We have two new bulletin boards. Each has a lifespan of one month, every month we will issue new ones and close the old. See the first ones:
- August 2009 – SOSFakeFlash Battle Plan
- August 2009 – Ebay Fake Flash Seller Hot List
SOSFakeFlash has introduced a new category: Battle Plan It is on the left hand menu under Categories. You will find the lastest bulletin boards there.
Category Quick Links:
Please comment on these new boards – share your intel and experiences. Allow others their turn.
If you are running a case, provide an update once a day at most, unless it is urgent! Do not use your eBayer Id to identify yourselves in comments. Chose a name for yourself and always use it at this sitel
The boards are for fake flash angels and fake flash commando’s. For independent fighters and satilites and those who are members of the different branches of the FrankenFlash Project. Guests and one timers are also most welcome to share.
About English:
You are not strictly limited to the English language. If you are trying to address the problem in your geographical region and wish to address your countrymen in your own language you are welcome to do so. We will have to put your comments through a translator to verify content (we get spammed a lot), if it is a language the team is unfamiliar with. If your information is extremely important we will also do a follow up in English with a back point to your original language comment, so others can share in your thoughts.
We do appreciate the effort many make to communicate in English when it is not their mother tongue or comfort zone. But if you feel you need to address your country, please do! The message must spread and reach others around the world.

Welcome to SOSFakeFlash’s new “Public” notice board for strategy to continue purging eBay of fake flash sellers. This is a new board. You will always find it under Category: Battle Plan – Strategy. Also see: Using The SOSFakeFlash Battle Plan Bulletin Boards – How They Work – Rules
The objective is to channel the energy of independent fake flash angels and commando’s to zero in on the important issues and tasks.
- Baby Fake Flash Seller Id’s
- Powerseller Fake Flash Seller Id’s Zapping
Baby fake flash seller id’s are being suspended quickly by eBay. This is good news. It prevents fraudulent sellers from building scores that can withstand negative feedback from buyers.
We are introducing a new notice board – Ebay Fake Flash Seller Hot List. You will always find it under Category: Battle Plan — Fake Flash Hot List. This board is for very dangerous sellers, especially powersellers. The objective is for victims to focus on these sellers and bring down their feedback scores – to the level where eBay can suspend them. This forces the fraudsters to switch to another id.
Is this a good thing? Yes. It means that victims can now focus on reducing another of their powerseller id’s to ashes. If you have any spare time you can contact buyers on for sellers on this list to warn them to test! If they have a fake and left positive feedback have them march to PayPal with a claim, send complaints to eBay. If the seller is still listing those confirmed fake flash items, have victims report every single listing, one by one to eBay. When different people do this, sleeping eBay awakes.
Meanwhile, if you patrol and keep the fake flash counterfeit rings in the Orient from planting new baby id’s their precious high score id’s will be suspended; their opportunity to groom and grow replacement id’s starved.
This month’s objective – send as many powersellers to eBay fake flash seller prison (suspension) and prevent the grooming of baby id’s to take their place.
You may use this Battle Plan for the month of August to report suspected Baby Id’s and your independent progress. There will be a new battle plan issued every month and the old one closed. Please do not use your real eBayer id’s to comment. Chose a name for yourself – your identity at SOSFakeFlash.

Ebay sellers do not have the right to ask members to change their feedback as a condition of refund. It is a direct violation of eBay policy! See eBay – What To Do When Sellers Demands You Change Your Negative Feedback To Positive For A Refund Or Demands Positive As A Condition Of Refund – A Guide
The reason so many eBay members continue to suffer fraud is that they change their feedback! Yes, it is true. In doing this a fraudulent seller continues. The seller makes more victims. So if you are a victim of a fake usb flash drive or mp player or memory card – do not be surprised. It is very sad. eBay members, trying to get their money back betray other ebay members! Do not get angry with them. Most will never get their money back. In betraying you, they learn the hard way, no refund.
Stand up. Fight! Don’t believe what we are saying? see dingdingstore11

Decide. Are you a person who believes fraud is wrong? Is the only thing that matters is YOU? Or do you belive it is wrong to fraud people? If you think it is wrong to fraud, you have a choice to make. Stand up and sayNO! or crawl on your belly and change your feedback. We know just how hard it is to earn money. It hurts. Are you the kind of person who thinks only of yourself, or do you think of other people too?
eBay seller dingdingstore11 is a nasty piece of work. His reply demonstrates why YOU became a victim!
If you believe it is wrong to fraud people, you need to add your voice. It means you do not give in. It means you fight. You care about others. You warn other eBay members. You don’t let fraudsters get away with selling fake mp players, memory cards or usb flash drives.
It can be a bitter experience. It is also a test of who you are, what you beleive in. Make sure you report to eBay and PayPal. Record any seller such as dingdingstore11 who was stupid enough to demand that you change your negative feedback for a refund. Trap them!
Understand that in changing your feedback, you are not necessarily going to get your refund, You will not have an opportunity to change it again and you will create more victims. Decide.

New! This article contains polls you can vote on.
Why should you leave immediate Negative feedback for an eBay Fake Flash Seller? Many buyers believe that if they hold back on leaving feedback – they have leverage in dealing with a fraudulent seller of counterfeit flash drives. SOSFakeFlash has very bad news for anyone who believes this.
