Venting Is Good For Frauded eBay Members Of Fake Flash SD Cards, Pen Sticks, MPx Players Purchased On eBay. Action! Even Better.

Posted by KittyFireFlash on February 4, 2010

Venting is indeed good for frauded eBay Members who purchased false capacity SD Cards, Pen Sticks, MPx Players on eBay. Action? Even Better!

Recently a comment arrived from diagon-elly on mygodyeah. mygodyeah was a really bad case.

diagon-elly said:

“mygodyeah” is no longer a registered ebay member. Even though I know that he’ll be back in no time or has several accounts already, I won. I and the other buyer kicked his Chinese butt!!! I got my money back too and I hope that every buyer I wrote to, has opened a dispute too.

It brought back many memories of fights by eBay members to remove fraudulent sellers. diagon-elly channeled the anger of being frauded with a dangerous false capacity usb flash drive into positive action – warning others. Refusing to let this id get away with more fraud.

mygodyeah belongs to the 3totrade counterfeit ring operating on eBay. There are currently 16 eBay ids on file, only one is still active and brazenly selling fake memory usb pen sticks, obamastores .

It’s amazing how the last id active of the Don Of Fake Flash In the Orient, continues. Strange, but it is not the last time I said this…the last active id when writing about the Don Of Fake Flash. Soon we will be offering victims a little guided tour, to the mystery address. The Don has claimed so many victims these last two years. An opportunity for a little undercover photo shoot presented itself.

Why obmamastores continues is a mystery, perhaps not enough committed victims like diagon-elly possibly. Unlike most fake flash memory sellers in the Orient, obamastores follows in the footsteps of the early id’s, offering a fair amount of real capacity for the 32GB advertised size – 4GB flash memory chips often grade D.

On the subject of “butts” readers, it is not only Chinese butts that needs kicking.

It is true, though, they do represent the majority of fake flash memory sellers currently operating on eBay.

SOSFakeFlash and eBay members have kicked butts for many nationalities and countries these last two years. Here are some memorable ones from the past:

Canada: rickysell819 Ebay Fake Flash Seller – Canada – Case Of Ricky The Tricky

India: Ebay Fake Flash Sellers Alert India – A Mystery In New Delhi

America: Investigation On Seller Using eBay Id guruelectronics Continues At SOSFakeFlash

Australia: fufu$$ And The Counterfeit Kingston DT150 64GB DataTraveler USB Flash Drives

United Kingdom: naffy23k eBay Fake Flash Seller vs H2testw and eBay Victims

Europe: mpt555 aka arifqammar Ebay Seller Playing With Fire – Ukraine.

Frankly there is no eBay country where it is “safe” to buy flash memory products. Sad but true. The only real difference is how much you will spend for your item (see Global Report – eBay Fake Memory 2008 – 2009 for the prices eBay sellers charge for fakes by the 5 regions in the world).

The majority of fake mpx players, memory cards and usb flash drives come from eBay sellers registered in the Orient. It is impossible to dispute this. You only need to look at the fake flash country categories for sellers on SOSFakeFlash’s category list to see how many sellers have been caught by area of the world.

Unfortunately, in the mind of consumers around the world, the Orient means cheap, discounted. This may be true for many products, but it is not true for flash memory technology. 80% of the cost is the flash memory chip, something buyers are unaware of and also resellers. Until people understand this fact, eBay members will continue to be victims.

If you are a victim and you are angry – channel your energy into something positive. Warn other buyers of your seller. Hound eBay and PayPal. Tell your friends, family and colleagues at work about your experience. As diagon-elly reports, kicking “butt”, warning others and removing a fake flash memory seller can be a very satisfying experience. Positive too.

Vent, focus, act!

Why Is Fake Flash Memory So Dangerous?

Posted by techchips on January 20, 2010

Fake Flash Memory is false capacity memory. Flash nand memory chips have been reprogrammed to lie about their true capacity. They trick operating systems into believing they are bigger then they really are. Once you exceed the real capacity of the memory chip, you will lo0se data and files. There is no place on the memory chip.

Fakes are created by reprogramming the flash memory chip with special software. Certain usb flash controller chips have flaws. Fake Flash Memory sellers always seem to use the same chip sets.

Products affected are usb flash drives, MPx players and memory cards. A strong indicator of a fake, is the price paid. See Global Report – eBay Fake Memory 2008 – 2009

To make sure you did not purchase a fake flash memory item, you should always test it for capacity. The best tool is H2testw. It is free. To learn more about it read: H2testw 1.4 – Gold Standard In Detecting USB Counterfeit Drives

eBay – Top 25 Countries Frauded. Fake Flash Memory Items Available On Ebay. 200912

Posted by KittyFireFlash on December 27, 2009

SOSFakeFlash’s data for December 2009 reveals the top 25 countries where eBay Members have been frauded. Data exists on 821 eBay sellers. The current team stuggles to investigate and document fraudulent sellers.

eBay refuses to address the issue and protect it’s members against fake flash memory items such as mp3 mp4 players, memory cards and usb flash drives.

Buyer protection is a myth, a sham. There is no such thing as buyer protection on eBay. If sellers are being suspended or stopped it is because individual members, disgusted at the magnitude of fraud have chosen to fight back. They are contacting other eBay members to “share their buyer experience“.

Paypal in an attempt to pacify angry eBay members has been issuing “courtesy refunds” to victims. They clearly stipulate they are doing this as a favour, not as an obligation. Is this fair? Victims, while relieved to receive refunds from PayPal, are angry. They do not feel that it should be a “favour” but see it as their obligation!

Is your country among the top 25?

If You Are Warning Fellow eBay Members About Fake Flash Memory Sellers On Ebay

Posted by KittyFireFlash on December 2, 2009

If you are warning eBay members about your fake flash seller(s) or those documented at SOSFakeFlash as an independent Fake Flash Angel, please assist us by making things easier to document and record. It is a struggle to keep up- we receive a lot of information that is incomplete.

Do you know what happens to incomplete information? It goes into a “To Be Investigated” Folder. The problem is, we don’t have the time and we never get around to it. There are just too many fake flash sellers on the loose. Some eBay sellers can unleash as many as 2000+ fake flash memory items in a period of a few weeks.

So how can you help us?

Trouble With A PayPal Claim? Filed A Dispute? Useful Information.

Posted by KittyFireFlash on December 1, 2009

So you filed a dispute against and eBay seller, are you having a hard time? PayPal usually only allows an eBay member to file a dispute within 45 days of purchase. Is that all the time you have? No.

If an eBay seller has engaged in fraud, PayPal has 180 days to raise an investigation against a seller. You need to understand that emails from PayPal come from emailing robots, not people. These computer programs do not understand your situation. They are only programmes, robots with no human intelligence. To get PayPal to listen to you, you might have to escalate to other email addresses or contact them by telephone.

SOSFakeFlash fights against eBay Fraud for mp3 mp4 players, memory cards and usb flash drives sold on eBay that are false capacity. These items have been altered to lie about their real capacity. Victims contact PayPal and file a dispute against a seller. Some receive speedy refunds, others do not. Those who are not refunded immediately, are assaulted by PayPal email robots.

What happens to these victims? Some give in, thinking that they are receiving email from a real person, instead of a robot. Others know better and fight the robots. It does not matter if you bought a fake flash memory item on eBay or something else. Read: PayPal How Long Do You Have To Claim For A Refund In Disputes? A Guide About PayPal From eBayer’s Experiences.

It contains information that will be useful to you, regardless of what you bought. The key to winning a dispute with PayPal, is refusing to give up, not taking “No” for an answer.

Don’t believe us? Read: PayPal Refunds Victim Of Fake – False Capacity USB Flash Drives Purchased On Ebay. 8 Month Battle Leads To Success.

There is no such thing as “No” – unless you chose to believe it. We know. If you are a victim of fraud on eBay and have filed a dispute with PayPal, don’t give up regardless of what you bought. You need to be prepared to fight back. Understand that PayPal emails come from computer robots, not from people. Never think that those emails rule. People who get their refunds have one thing in common – they refuse to be frauded and they hold PayPal accountable. Are you a person who fights for their rights? Persistence leads to success.
