couchaction eBay Fake Flash Memory Seller Alert – United Kingdom. A Lesson In How eBay Sellers Persist In Selling Fake Flash Memory If Not Reported To SOSFakeFlash.

Posted by KittyFireFlash on September 9, 2011

couchaction is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake hacked – false capacity memory) Memorette Micro SD/SDHC Cards. Registered in the United Kingdom, couchaction engaged in several fake flash memory selling sprees. A buyer discovered the memory card was a fake, several months after purchase. Results and seller addressing information are on file with SOSFakeFlash. The victim has tried to contact the seller without success several times – ignored by couchaction. eBay allows a 45 day claim window, in the case of fake memory, a winning proposition for both eBay and the seller.

Did couchaction stop selling? No. After a while this seller started again. Eventually in a desperate attempt to liquidate remaining stock he decided to unload them on eBay as ‘faulty’. couchaction decided that there was nothing wrong with selling fake capacity, what SOSFakeFlash calls – DATA POISON.

The victim snubbed by couchaction whose only interest profit or at the very least reclaiming the investment spent to purchase the fake memory cards, decided to report in to SOSFakeFlash. The seller was listing again and the victim alarmed. In an unusual twist, the victim decided to copy the seller on the communication the report.

Do you know what happened?

Poof! couchaction suddenly withdrew the listings. If the victim of couchaction had not reported in, those listings would still be available on eBay. It appears eBay sellers who knowingly sell fake memory are not really worried about eBay, but they are worried about SOSFakeFlash. Sad. eBay does not protect buyers from fake flash memory, only former victims of flash flash memory do, or bother to care?

While eBay might limit you to 45 days to claim, SOSFakeFlash has no such time window for you to report your fake and expose a seller’s fraud. We have received reports against sellers as old at 18 months after the sale. Did we publish against the seller? Yes.

If you discover you bought a fake flash memory item on eBay, you can still find information preserved in your PayPal account. Also in your personal email if you did not delete it. Fake flash memory sellers leave a footprint. If you are a victim you can use it. You might say why bother? Well as in the case of this seller, he just continued when he thought the coast was clear and even tried a new twist of “faulty” to dump the fake memory cards in bulk. It took a victim’s personal action to freeze the seller in his tracks.

Don’t feel foolish if you left positive feedback for a fake flash memory seller, you can still leave a follow up feedback in the 60 days.

Please do not buy Memorette cards on eBay:

Counterfeit Memorette Micro SD/SDHC Cards Fakes. 32GB 32Go Class 10

unless the eBay seller can prove to you he or she is an authorized reseller of Memorette. No proof = No buy. Do not become the next eBay member to be a victim of flash memory fraud.

Never feel sorry for an eBay seller who sold fake flash memory, they are hoping you will. It is the duty of a seller to understand and research carefully products he offers for sale. You are not obliged to suffer for their ignorance or mistakes. You are not required to lose your money because they did not understand the product(s) they were selling. If you think this is harsh, you need to know SOSFakeFlash is co-founded. It was founded by eBay sellers who accidentally sold fake flash memory and by buyers. Who set the rules? It was the sellers, not the buyers who set the standards by which sellers would be measured.

eBay seller couchaction is no innocent. If this seller had any regret about selling fake memory, the victim who chose to report would have been refunded, immediately and with an apology. An honest seller who sold fake memory, contacts all buyers to warn them, refunded them and gives a sincere apology. They do not or will not attempt to dump their remaining inventory under the guise and ruse of “faulty”.
