cjkirby Ebay Fake Flash Memory Seller Alert – United Kingdom. Beware Of Flash Memory Cards Listed As Faulty Or Defective On eBay! You Probably Bought A Counterfeit and “Upgraded” Fake Memory Card. What Is Faulty About A 2GB Flash Memory Chip Disguised As 32GB?
Posted by KittyFireFlash on May 14, 2011
cjkirby is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake hacked – false capacity memory) memory cards. Registered in the United Kingdom this seller sold 2GB flash memory as 32GB flash memory cards. cjkirby has been suspended by eBay.
cjkirby listed Kingston 32GB Micro Sd Cards as “Faulty”. Listing Description:

Package Includes:
32GB MicroSDHC/TF Flash Memory Card x 1
Free Adapter x 1
Item takes 10GB then anything over that it loses data
Purchased as a job lot so not all cards have been tested
A memory card that loses data over 10GB? What good would such a memory card be? Unreliable at the least. However, the testing results clearly indicate a hacked flash memory card.
False capacity flash memory should not be sold on eBay, it should be destroyed to prevent data loss. Unfortunately some sellers, realizing they have bought fake flash memory products attempt to reclaim their financial investiment by reselling the items as “faulty” or “defective”.
SOSFakeFlash has the testing results, there was nothing faulty about these flash memory cards, they are 2GB of grade D flash memory.
Report any seller listing generic flash memory as faulty or defective to eBay immediately. If it is a brand name, report to the major brand and eBay immediately. No major brand would allow ‘faulty’ or ‘defective’ flash memory to be sold on the open market, their brand name integrity is at stake.
