SOSFakeFlash And eBay – Operation Fake Flash Storm Gaining Ground Against Fake Flash Memory 128GB 64GB 32GB

Pressure is rising against eBay as members and SOSFakeFlash continue to combat the sale of fake flash memory items. All FrankenFlash project websites are providing additional support.

In February 2010, SOSFakeFlash revealed sale of these dangerous false capacity usb flash drives, memory cards and mp players had reached a crises, the volume astonishing. eBay fake flash memory sellers had adapted once again, using “buy now” listings.

Kingston Technologies suffered serious brand name damage as counterfeits for DT150 and DT200 usb flash drives started flooding eBay on an industrial scale. Quickly copied by sellers of fake capacity in generic usb flash drive category, the low chip size fakes simply reprogrammed to the size consumers now desired – 64GB and 128GB. Sales for fake memory cards and mp players also remained high.

To combat this new escalation, in March 2010, SOSFakeFlash announced “Operation Fake Flash Storm” against eBay. As it progresses, for the first time eBay is being prodded into action. Sellers are being carted off to suspension, listings for false capacity flash memory products vaporize.

eBay members are starting to push back the fake flash memory tide, with results. The project is calling everyone to assist: new victims, FakeFlashAngels, FakeFlashCommandos, FakeFlashSentinels. The battleground is inside eBay and on the internet.

    Our inbox for email is being flooded. This is good.

    However, a lot of people are forwarding their purchases but not including their ebayer id.

    A little bit of advice.

    If you sign up for email notification about posts at sosfakeflash, make sure you choose weekly notices. There are going to be a lot of alerts daily for the next few weeks. You don’t want an email from sosfakeflash every day. There are just too many fake flash memory sellers being detected.
