SOSFakeFlash Quick Note Update 20100411
Posted by KittyFireFlash on April 11, 2010
SOSFakeFlash is processing information from victims as fast as possible. At the moment we are unable to reply to a lot of victims, there are too many. Priority investigation goes to new sellers not yet on our lists.
We have reached 1,000 eBay sellers who have sold fake, counterfeit and hacked memory on eBay. MP Players, usb flash drives and memory cards. So where is your consumer confidence in eBay?
Is your eBay fake memory seller listed yet? See: eBay Fakes – Seller Lists
Recently we were asked why the safe ebay seller lists have not be updated. It is because there are so few of them. 95% percent of all eBay listings are for hacked memory. Honest eBay sellers do not have a chance.
What do we need most?
- Victims reporting in with their evidence using the Report A Fake Tab
- Victims contacting other eBay members who left positive feedback for their fake flash memory seller to warn them. Only 5 messages can be sent by one eBay member a day!
- Your webpages. Document your experience on your personal webpage or blog, then link to https://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/ for an example see: http://members.dodo.com.au/~fuelgred21/ You don’t have to write in English. Write in your language.
- Addresses for eBay fake flash memory sellers. From the sellers, mailing envelopes, eBay, PayPal. This information is vital to our investigations.
- Negative feedback immediately, if you discover you have a fake. Do not revise it, as you will create more victims. If you left positive, do follow up feedback to document the truth.
- Always leave this combination in feedback: “SOSFakeFlash + H2testw” , it will help other victims to find our site and discover the truth. It is the quick way to help others. It also remains in the sellers record forever.
- Education is critical. Get the word out to any internet site you can find. Warn them NOT to buy any mp players, usb flash drives or MP players on eBay. Ignorance on the cost of flash nand memory chips is the major reason people become victims. They lose more than money. They lose their files and data. Read: Why Is Fake Flash Memory So Dangerous?
- Promote this report at internet websites: Global Report – eBay Fake Memory 2008 – 2009 It explains everything.
The only people who succeed in stopping fraud on eBay are the victims. After two years of operation we should know. Do not expect eBay to do it. It’s 8 years since the problem appeared on eBay for hacked memory. Each voice makes a difference. Will you allow others to suffer your experience?
eBay fake flash memory seller id’s are often the same person with many id’s. Did you know that? See this article on the Don Of Fake Flash in the orient: 32B, XiaoFeng Building Address Fake Flash Memory Selling On eBay. On Site Visit To The Don Of Fake Flash In The Orient.

Success against eBay powersellers for fake flash. Ok.
Action of fakeflashangel is good. You all need more help. Don’t see a lot of buyers stepping up. Too many pricks change their fb for a refund. Sick.
China, hong kong, singapore, malaysia. 50 ~ 900 units before suspension or leave. Id’s less then 3 months on ebay.
Price range 64GB to 128GB. $22 ~ $80 US.
Keywords “made in japan” for noname brand. Kingston branded.
ebay action, remove listings. Ha ha.
Sorry but sosfakeflash action of fakeflashangels no good here! Rules useless for fake flash fleas, stinging buyers to death. Anybody buying a 128 GB for $25 is what? fleas laughing.
Seen more fake flash commando action. Great. At least some people have guts. Think like scammers. Do what they did to you. Use many ids and build army. Don’t be stupid guys. CYA. Scammers are not dumb. Flea bay is watching. Cover your tracks. Careful or they will kick your butt. Flea bay wants money. They will kiss China ass not yours, cuz that is where the $$$ is.
For normal people search ebay and for buy now 128 GB less then $200 US? report it to flea bay. NOW!
Thing about fleas, short life get replaced fast by new ones.
sosfakeflash no way you can deal with this fake memory seller, not with normal rules. China will bury you alive and you will all drop dead – burn out.
Guys think about this, ok?
Anybody got better ideas?
Powerseller fake flash one thing, but the new fleas are scamming like crazy.
Question to you at sosfakeflash. Think about this really hard.
Suppose you all take a few months off, what will happen on flea bay? Sorry but should you be helping people who spend $25 or $50 for a 128 GB penstick?
I think you all do to much. Take a break. See what happens.
Read up on “RISK MANAGEMENT”, bet the lawyers at flea bay have.

Hard to argue here, Seth.
Are you saying FakeFlashCommandos are not “Normal”? They are.
The only real difference is the level of risk factor they are willing to take. A commando is a special kind of fighter. They are good for your “fleas”.
For established and rooted fake flash memory power sellers, sorry but FakeFlashAngels are needed and lots more of them.
No one has anything nice to say about buyers who change their feedback to positive for a refund. Thirty pieces of silver?
Most victims are stunned to find out they bought fake memory. They keep saying “But the sellers positive feedback was so high!” So your P description is fine, it is what a lot of new victims would use to describe them. However, some buyers are timid or they are just nice people who fall for the lies and sob stories from sellers. Others jumped into the fake flash barrel and bought tons from the seller, fake flash bidding fever? It happens. In any case a person can alwasy redeem themselves by doing follow up feedback, and if it was exhortion, say so.
As FOR ideas, well we too see some “creative” things occuring. Not going to say more except SOSFakeFlash says THANK YOU, THANK YOU….THANK YOU! and victims also say thank you as well!
No one thought this fight would be easy, we knew it would be a long term thing.

We shouldn’t forget that shutting down the sellers is not the only goal. You chop off one head, two more grow in its place. But when an angel warns a few people, they become careful and start suspecting something at the very least. Lots of them will find out the truth, and maybe even the scale of this. And some of them will spread the word.
I think the important part is not shutting down the sellers — well, their accounts — but creating a hostile environment in which it is difficult to sell these things. When the commandos kill one flea, or a dozen, it’s a success, but it doesn’t usually prevent anyone from falling into this trap — the buyers, still not suspecting anything, will simply buy the drives from another flea. At best, they will get a general message from eBay, warning them against the suspended flea, but with no useful information about fake flash or how to prevent this from repeating itself.
Five more informed people a day. That’s what I’m aiming at, personally.

You have valid points Chuckie. Yes, chop off 1 head 2 new ones appear.
Creating a hostile environment on eBay is EXACTLY what is needed. I’ve been pushing this with the project for a long time. Why? I’ve been around long enough to see what works and what does not.
The problem is inside of eBay, the battle belongs inside of eBay, not outside of it.
It’s not hard work to contact 5 people a day, usually takes less then 15 minutes once you get the hang of it. Not everyone will reply to you, but you can bet when they start to lose files them remember you and start searching the internet for information.
What is really rewarding is when a person replies and tells you they have a fake and…. says THANK YOU!
BTW….
LOL, we can see eBay is huffing and puffing to zap Kingston DT200 fakes. Not sure if it is Kingston Technologies breaking their bones with a baseball bat, or if they are sweating from threats of legal action by Kingston, but it is nice to see them actually doing some work for a change. Now if they would only do the “right thing” warn people who bought the listings and automatically refund them!.
We were not kidding about “Operation Fake Flash Storm Against eBay”.

1038 ebay sellers now on file.
We might be reaching limitations for the fake flash seller lists at sosfakeflash so a question to all, how important is the link to negative feedback for a seller on the lists?
SOSFakeFlash is thinking of publishing plain text only at this site. They don’t want to split the list into three different lists. Instead the fake flash seller lists with a click to see negative feedback would be published at
http://flashchiptech.wordpress.com/ as it could handle 3 different lists or more with the click links.
Text lists here, click lists at flashchiptech for those who need to have quick access to feedback.
Hey we didn’t think that we would reach 1,000+ sellers. eBay is not doing it’s job. So how many of you use the click link here? Anyway, every alert includes a click link to see the sellers neg and neutral fb.

I think that if necessary, a link template at the top/bottom of the list could be enough, such as (I hope I’ll get the formatting right):
http://www.toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=SELLER_NAME_HERE&Dirn=Received+by
(I’m not sure how complex HTML elements can be used in WordPress posts. If some form elements can be used, then the post could even contain a text field to directly enter a seller’s name into, and some “view” button to submit the request.)

Make it 1045 sellers on file and it is still growing… It is getting very bad on eBay!
