lbquyuanwai fake flash memory seller continues to elude SOSFakeFlash. This eBay id is suspected as belonging to one of the existing counterfeit rings. The question is, which one?

lbquyuanwai sold fake memory cards and mp players then and he still does now. Why? Because frauded eBay members do not take action.

He has now refunded me for an item not even DELIVERED yet because I told him that if it was fake I would neg him.

EBay has ask me to send the card back to lbquyuanwai
in my complaint when I opened this case I stated that the phone crashed when she tried to sink the new card and phone to her computer, its hard to tell whats on that card
The card was put into a phone that my daughter uses for copyrighted art, You can view her art at http://www.nicolesuptic.com, after looking at her art you can see why that I don’t want to send the card to a known counterfeiter,
I have been a member of eBay for over 10 years and have seen many changes within eBay and I feel that in cases of items that can store information, or items that could possable have a hidden key loggers or other information that can help a hacker it should not be returned to the fraudsters, because if it is returned there is no eBay protection.
At this time I have friends that have tryed to format this card, and failed.

how many times would I have to format this to know that my data is not going to get into the hands of a fraudsters, the test I think shows only part was tested, even after a fresh format.
I can not send this to the buyer until I know what is on it.

It is next to imposible for you to alter a memory card. There is almost no software available to fix memory cards.

Did you pay by a credit card? If you did, you might like to contact them to do a reversal for fraud. Feel free to let them know about the references at this site or to check the sellers feedback.
Unlike eBay, credit card companies are usually very serious about protecting their customers. They dislike fraud of any kind and want to keep their customers.
If you paid with a credit card, please contact them immediately for assistence.
Don, you need to know that eBay is very serious in using risk management, they avoid contacting members for a fraudulent seller to warn them. It would mean having to refund.
For anyone who buys a false capacity memory card, they are at risk of much more then losing money. They risk losing photos, precious moments that can not replaced.
Memories are being robed. How do you ‘redo a vacation’? How do you recapture your child’s first birthday? How do you recapture your wedding?
eBay is only too aware of what is going on. They have the databases, they know the sellers being reported. They have been quoted in the New York Times stating they have over 2000 employees assigned to fight fraud:

I could call my credit card company. but this is no longer about the 50.00 I paid for the card, it is the principal.
If I paid for it on ebay then ebay will have to let me sell it on ebay.

My old computer is a 2000 model and the whole hard drive is only 20GB this card should hold the same as 21 computers give or take a little.
The first thing when you have trouble with a China special, is the seller will tell you maybe its your computer, do you have another computer you can put it in, then they want you to put it into
your buddys computer, then after all that they tell you they will gladly give you a refund.
Most people will return the card, with all there lost music, and enought information could be on that card, for someone to steal your id.
and if you put it in all your buddys computer, thay have there id and music also.

They are very hard to format, all of the results that people have listed on your pages of post of where people have ran test that have been done with the h2testw
show that it is testing only part of the drive that it is running on what is in the corrupted files, why does it not remove them when you format.

How many stop testing on a card when the h2testw shows that the drive is corrupt.
make sure you have windows to do a CHKDSK of the drive with recovery after each format.
This country is full of china gold.

It’s really insane. Nuts. eBay isn’t going to stop the listings. All of us in the Frankenflash project know they need the money.
Usually 1 in 100 buyers will file a dispute to get their money back. So ebay and fake falsh seller keep the money for 99 buyers.
The neutral feedback is a problem. It has caused a lot of problems. A lot of people stop fighting when they see what people do.
The important thing to remember is that ebay and ebay members are a reflection of the world we live in.
Choosing to fight back or be scared or timid, really shows more about who you the ebay member are. It is a weird test of your personality and character.
China is where most flash memory chips are made. The problem is there is no security at the factories. So they make real chips during the day and at night they reprogamme small chips to be fakes.
Nobody denies that the problem has one source – china.

The day of my daughters 19th birthday, about 30 seconds after she put it in and hit sink on her phone and computer she looked up and said FAKE, its a FRAUD.
Before we gave her the card I was looking at the card on the tip of my finger and thinking about the gold standard and that the weight of the card was worth more than the same weight in gold for what I paid for it.

It looks like you are doing outreach missions to eBay sellers. This is a good idea for sellers not in Asia (over there they do know what they are doing).
We used to do a lot of seller contact messaging, in the old days. Unfortuantely too many sellers selling fakes force us to concentrate on documenting sellers and victims. Now spotting fakes from Asia as fast as we can mouse click.
The problem with a lot of sellers?
They are clueless. No idea about the products they are selling. Even when they get dinged with a negative, they assume the item is “faulty” or “defective”. Many trust in their supplier and can not believe evil occurs at the factory.
Many fabs by day create genuine products. At night quite a few engage in something else.
“When the cat is away, the mouse comes out to play”. Security issues.
We see the most stubborn behavior is coming from eBay sellers in the United States. Convincing them is not easy.
Some of us had to wrestle a few to the ground. Being persistent and refusing to go away, they performed the testing. You can imagine the horror when they discovered the truth. Generally older eBay sellers pre 2004 tend to behave honourably when they learn the truth and refund all buyers and apologize – but it is not the norm, most tip toe away.
Unfortunately these days, Don if you persist in trying to save them, they will go screaming to Mommie eBay to spank you. Not worth the pain you might experience.
So best advice, send them a message to ask if they tested to avoid selling false capacity. Word your message as helpful, stating there is a serious problem on eBay and many honest sellers are being hurt because they do not test to make sure. A positive non confrontational approach can open a good dialogue with a seller. It will be lost on some, especially those not the sharpest knives in the drawer.
To buyers we ask that you make sure to leave:
“SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw”
in your feedback. It sends a clear message to a seller. Just using the word “fake” is not enough.
