sunfeixia2009 eBay Fake Memory Seller And fortunefa886999. Is There A Connection Between These eBay Id’s?

Posted by KittyFireFlash on February 22, 2010

sunfeixia2009 is a documented seller of fake flash memory cards. On January 30th, 2010, SOSFakeFlash issued the following alert: sunfeixia2009 Ebay Fake Flash Memory Seller Alert – China. 32GB SD SDHC Flash Memory Card 32G Secure Digital

According to DragonDakel’s team at FakeMemorySentinel there appears to be a strong possibility that sunfeixia2009 and fortunefa886999 are one and the same. Is this true? See fortunefa886999 eBay Flash Memory Seller China – Test Immediately For Advertised Capacity

For sunfeixia2009, SOSFakeFlash has one address on file:

zhiheng zhou

1A-24i Yujing Huacheng,Futian District,
Shenzhen City,Guangdong Prov,
China,518000

Do you have other addresses for sunfeixia2009 on your mailing envelopes or received from eBay or PayPal? Did you buy a memory card from fortunefa886999 and did it fail testing with H2testw? We need to hear from you, please send in your addressing information and test results using the Report A Fake tab.

We need to answer the question, is sunfeixia2009 and fortunefa886999 part of a memory card counterfeit ring operating on eBay?

sunfeixia2009 is still selling despite the alert issued in late January. It is important for all victims to report in and also to contact other victims who left positive feedback. Do not expect eBay to stop sunfeixia2009 from selling. Victims stop a seller, not eBay. SOSFakeFlash has two years of data to show that a seller is suspended when frauded buyers act together. If they don’t a seller just continues to fraud.

A recent example is the case of xprodeal, read xprodeal Ebay Members Battle Fake Flash Memory Seller Using Private Auction Listings. A Long History Of Fraud. eBay Looks The Other Way. When a group of frauded victims, with mighty hearts joined together, xprodeal, a powerseller using private auctions was no match. They suspended him!

You will enjoy the comments on xprodeal left in xprodeal Ebay Fake Flash Seller Alert – China. Some are quiet funny, some have dark humour and a few sum up the problem on eBay. It shows the power of one, becoming the power of many. That is how a fake flash memory seller is stopped!

When eBay members do not act, you have a situation such as obamastores. Read: obamastores Ebay Fake Flash Seller Alert – China. This seller has been frauding since October 2009. Unfortunately few victims have the courage to fight back or report in to SOSFakeFlash. As a result he continues to fraud, as the active id in the 3totrade counterfeit ring. Sad but true.

Will you allow sunfeixia2009 to continue? Can you help validate if fortunefa886999 is connected?

Sunfeixia2009 requests returns to the number you display above.
However when Paypal ordered me to return the fake they listed this address for Sunfeixia2009: (different number?)

“Return the item to the seller, at the following address:

    1A-2409 Yujing Huacheng,Futian District
    Shenzhen
    Guangdong
    518000
    China”

The return address on the mailer the card arrived in:
    “30 kaki Bukit Road 3
    #06-03/04 Empire Techno Centre
    Singapore 418713

No surprise that the paypal addresses are different. Sellers with multiple ids do not want paypal to be able to link their accounts together using an address.

Ok, connection made for id Sunfeixia2009. Ring Kaki Bukit, now 8 ids.

It could be noted that the “organized group” of angels (by which I mean those who knew about one another and were coordinating their effort) that recently fought Xprodeal was only 3 to 5 people strong. There may have been other, unsung fighters who fought alongside this group, but this is the optimistic message: an organized group of no more than 5 people started on January 23, and, probably accompanied by an unknown number of freelance angels, suspended Xprodeal on February 19.

And now, imagine what we could do in greater numbers.

After being refunded the items cost in my claim on sunfeixia2009,I have emailed Paypal with the following request:

Have received your refund for the amount paid to this (still active) Ebay seller of fake cards. (sunfeixia2009)
However in your correspondence you conceded that your requirement to return the fake may be illegal so instead asked me to provide faxed documented proof after which you directed me to destroy the fake.
As you are aware from the content in my fax, having this item tested to your requirements as proof has cost me an additional $33.00 in order to receive a refund of my original $49.99 purchase, a situation I would hardly describe as ‘Buyer protection.’
Consequently I am requesting I be compensated for my cost of $33.00 in meeting your requirements either from sunfeixia’s accout or Paypal.
    G. Fueller.

    BTW.
After lodging my claim I note just from his feedback alone that he has sold more than 85 of these fake cards since yet despite
many victims having detected the fake in time to lodge a claim, Ebay/Paypal still continues to allow this fraud???

    OMG…
After being warned by Grump3 about the possibility that my 32GB card is a fake,
I tested it by copying 7GB to it (a dvd movie) and then trying to copy it back to
my mac. to my horror, it didn’t return the data. I opened a dispute for the item
and Paypal automatically escalated it to a claim. I was asked to return the card
and provide a tracking number. I called Paypal via phone and asked to avoid
the shipping of the fake card to the fraudulent seller (like Grump3 advised
me to do), but they insisted that I must return it in order to get a refund.
I went to the post office and asked to send the card with a tracking number,
in the cheapest way available. the post office clerk told me to send it as a
signed letter. I did as she told me and when I got back home and tried to
track the shipment, it said it cannot track signed letters to China once they
    leave the country…
after a few days I got a letter from Paypal saying they can’t refund me
because they can’t track the envelope. here is the e-mail I got from them:

    Hello Meron Shaban,

We have concluded our investigation into the following claim:

    Seller’s Name:
    Seller’s Email: sunfeixia@gmail.com
    Seller’s Transaction ID: 4X589147JB988690U

    Transaction Date: Feb 10, 2010
    Transaction Amount: -$39.99 USD
    Your Transaction ID: 1H4558827N9566846
    Case Number: PP-915-082-529

    Buyer’s Transaction ID: 1H4558827N9566846

The tracking information you provided was invalid and we were unable to
confirm delivery of the item associated with this claim. As a result, the
case is now considered closed and we are unable to process a refund.

We encourage you to work directly with the seller to find a resolution.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    That’s it.
By the way, sending the card with tracking number that is
trackable in China would have cost me $24…
Now i’m without the proof of the fake card and without the $40 😦

  10. grump3 said

    Meron,
Sorry to hear your claim was refused. (I had provided my private email address to you if you needed more info).

When Paypal instructed me to return the card I informed them that it was illegal to post fake/counterfeit goods & it they persisted with this demand I would clearly mark the customs declaration:
“Return of FAKE/COUNTERFEIT GOODS to FRAUDULENT EBAY SELLER on STIPULATION from PAYPAL Australia Pty Ltd”

Paypal then conceded this may be against the law & asked for independent testing.
I then faxed Paypal a confirmation letter from a PC repair service after which I was instructed to destroy the fake & received my refund.
So Paypal’s claim about not tolerating fraud doesn’t hold water.

I provided them with proof about this seller!

If you wish to continue with your claim, contact me using the address I gave you & I can send you a copy of the report On my fake card which was identical to yours. Also my claim number as additional proof of fraud by Sunfeixia.

There are 2 different problems, one is general and the other is personal.

The general problem is that Paypal don’t compensate the buyer (“the victim”)
for the cost of testing the card in an independent lab and/or for the cost of shipping
it BACK to the FRAUDULENT seller. as Grump3 suggested, this cannot be described
    as a “Buyer Protection”.

My personal problem, which sits nicely on top of the general problem, is that I was misled
by the post clerk to use signed letter to China, which is not trackable once it leaves
my country. that is a problem I will have to solve with my local post office.

  12. Meron said

After contacting my post office, I was told that my tracking number was valid.
So I sat and wrote this letter to Paypal:

    Hello,
On April 3rd I was horrified to discover that my claim was denied,
after you’ve informed me that the tracking number I’ve provided
    was not trackable.

    Well, I beg to differ.

    Please enter this site:

    http://www.track-chinapost.com

Enter the tracking number I’ve provided you:

    RR560780815IL

and you will see that not only that the item is trackable, but it has
arrived at its destination (SHENZHEN, CHINA) at March 23rd 2010.

This is just another example of the fraudulent behavior of this seller
(sunfeixia2009) that not only provided me with a fake memory card
but also lied (how surprising) that he didn’t get the memory card back.

Again, I expect to receive a full refund in the sum of $40,
the price I’ve payed for the memory card, and I think it’s about
time you close this seller’s business, not before refunding his
    innocent victims.

    With all the respect,

    Meron Shaban

I got burned by the seller “sunfeixia2009” too. He/she appears to have just closed their eBay account within the past few days. I was sent a fake 32GB SDHC card which only tested for about 2GB of capacity. The card was labeled as 32GB Class 6… but was only testing at Class 2 speed and if any more than 2GB of data was written to the card the card would become corrupt. I told them the card was defective and mailed it back. Then he/she claimed they never received the returned card and would not issue me a refund. Today I went to launch a PayPal dispute only to find the item was removed from eBay’s records and I now have no recourse in the matter.

    So,

After I’ve contacted Paypal on April 7th, and urged them to check my tracking
number again, I was asked (on April 9th) to fax the document I’ve got at the
post office, as a proof of shipping. I was given 3 days to do so.

After faxing Paypal the document (on April 11th), I’ve received 2 different letters:
One was saying that they got the documents (fax) and that they will review them,
and the other letter said that upon further review of my case, they found that the
tracking information was not provided within the requested timeframe, ad that
they are closing the case, BUT, since the tracking does show that shipment
occurred within the requested timeframe, they have sent a courtesy email to the
    seller requesting a full refund.

I was told that If I do not receive a response from the seller within 3 days
I should contact Paypal and they will continue with the appeal.

At that point I felt I had it. I was thinking I might file a charge back
at my credit card company (which made me regret I sent the card back,
since it was exhibit A…) or just leave it and maybe even stop using eBay.

On April 18th I gave it a last chance. I called Paypal (again) and spoke with
a nice guy called Christian. I told him everything from scratch. he listened
quietly and after I’ve finished he said that Paypal had decided to give me
a courtesy refund, since they didn’t get a reply from the seller as well.
I thanked Christian warmly and told him that I’m happy this ordeal is over.

I got the refund on April 19th with a little note saying:

Thank you for being a great customer!

Conclusions? I’m not sure. I think that maybe, just maybe,
next time I’ll have such a problem, I would file a chargeback
with the credit card company and keep the card as an evidence
of the fraud, or, more likely, go to the near store and buy the
memory card there. it will save me a lot of hustle…

haha well i just bought one from this ebay user this afternoon and paid for it promptly as i normally do. then decided to google search to see what people thought of the card since there were so many being sold and stumbled accross these shenanigans lol. i figured it was just a cheap knockoff that would burn out in a year or 2, not that it was a spoofed 2 gig or something. guess i get to have some fun in the coming weeks

    Re yescard2008

Just placed a bid that should be high enough to win the next card in his queue, using an alternate ID.
Will request proof of genuine capacity prior to payment…

Just won the “32GB” SD card for US$26.00.
Private bidding & only Paypal accepted.

  23. Meron said

What are you trying to accomplish Grump?

  24. grump3 said

A number of objectives depending upon how Ebay/paypal/seller respond/react when I inform them I have since placing my bid, received a warning notice that he is selling fake memory & request proof/guarantee they are genuine 32GB in capacity prior to completing my purchase.

Hoping I can get the result of this action posted early on amongst his private listings feedback so other buyers can bid with confidence in his product.

Some years back I purchased another seller’s entire stock one evening, only to receive another warning they were all fakes just prior to completing my purchase. So had to refrain from paying & report the transactions via neg feedback. Sad to say the seller was booted shortly thereafter…

  25. Timothy Hedges said

Thank you for the suggestion, Randy! :o) I had been under the impression that there was a limited amount of time for which to file a claim. I just found the transaction ID and escalated the issue with PayPal a few minutes ago, so I guess we’ll see what happens. In the meanwhile I should probably have somebody from PayPal look into the other seller ID that someone above said this fraudulent seller is now using.
