    Recently bought a “16gb” MP3 player from best-e-bay-sell on eBay … I fully expected a
cheap/very basic MP3 player, but with 16g of storage (the thought never crossed my mind that it’d be less)

Testing with h2testw.exe shows its really only a 2gb unit

Guess i’ll be contacting seller and/or leaving negative feedback on that one

Item Description (on ebay): Slim 1.8″ 16GB Mp3 Mp4 Player Media
(i’d bost an image but don’t see a way to do that here))

The media is likely to be defective.

So how exactly do you file a item not as described claim with eBay’s
    “New eBay Buyer Protection”???
    What i tried is:

    Find item in ‘my ebay’
    click ‘more actions’
    click ‘resolve a problem’
(it brings you to a page ‘What’s the problem with this item?’)
click ‘what can I do when I get an item that’s not as described?’
(brings up page ‘we need more information on this item’)
under ‘have you contacted the seller yet?’ select ‘no’ (as i do not want to contact seller)
    click ‘continue’
(that brings up ‘Try contacting the seller first’ which has 2 options, both of which are: ’email me the seller’s contact info’
…how worthless is that? 2 options both the same? i DO NOT want to contact seller.

you can also click ‘view order details’
(which does just as it says)
From there you could again select ‘resolve a problem’…
which leads back to the same exact thing, over and over and…
How do i get out of this damn wizard/help thingie and just file the claim?

That’s right. There is a new Resolution Center now. It’s all in ebay.

    I just tried.

At ‘have you contacted the seller yet?’, just click on ‘YES’ and there is a new button ‘Open a case online’. (You could send the seller a msg, and I suppose that would count as a ‘contact).
