This is another one that I complained about to Ebay ( please dont think Im looking for credit, only to share info and how I think I got something done )
In March I bought a MP3 from this seller, a 16GB really only 2GB and opened a case and complained to Ebay after testing. Ebay automated robots told me to send the item back. Right 14.00 shipping for a 20.00 item. They offered me a 10.00 coupon to help defray the cost. Fine…took the coupon.
The case was escalated to Fraud Prevention and on 3/26 I received an emails stating:
We’re writing to let you know that the listing for the following item you bid on has been removed:
270543710142 – New 16GB MP3 MP4 1.8″ Slim 4th Gen FM Media Player OG
We strongly recommend that you do not complete this purchase. Purchases of items listed on eBay but then completed outside of eBay are extremely risky. They are not covered by eBay buyer protection programs and are highly susceptible to fraud.
another DUH! Transaction already completed. So it cost me 10.00 for a 2GB player. I should be able to sell it as such, recoup my costs and now another ID is done. I hope my efforts are having the effect I think they are.
Keep the complaints flowing, contact the buyers who are leaving positive feedback unknowingly and point them to the information that will help and encourage them to complain.
Love this site and all of you!
