Posted by KittyFireFlash on November 26, 2009

international-distributing is a new seller id on eBay reborn from a long history of ID’s notorious for selling fake – false capacity memory items. The current capacity sizes being offered for usb flash drives and mp3 mp4 players are in line with the buy prices asked. But there is one little problem. If international-distributing is attempting to become honest, why is the seller still using private auction listings?

SOSFakeFlash monitors fake flash sellers on eBay and tracks their history. international-distributing has a long sales career in dishonesty and fraud.

    Urragh!

Your post kitty, sums up what is going on on ebay. This seller frauded continuously for almost two years and ebay did nothing. Are they really that blind, deaf and dumb? Or are they just plain greedy or desperate for the listing fees?

    It is sick and disgusting!

Members on ebay do not have a clue on the real cost of memory chips.

We need people kitty to make ebay listings that warn about fakes! Sell their damn fake mp players or memory cards or usb flash drives! Say which seller they bought from, what the advertised size was and what the real size it. In 1 inch high letters in the listing!

    Nice titles too! For example:

32GB xyz item – A Genuine Fake I bought from seller XYZ.

You probably won’t get a lot of bidders but you will get questions! It would also reduce the number of bidders for fake flash memory items and of course the final prices.

The fight needs to be inside of ebay. You do a great job Kitty with your team, but it would be better to have the message inside of eBay with listings then to have buyers hunt the internet and find SOSFakeFlash after the fact!

Congatulations SOSFakeFlash on 400,000+ visitors! But where are the fighters? Who is warning people inside of eBay?

A Genuine Fake is a play on words. One could also say a “True Fake”. So a “False Fake” would be genuine?????

In different parts of the world, English is used differently. In America (USA) advertising twisters are common, the objective is to catch the readers eye, to be noticed and have the person read the advertising in full. Anything that grabs the attention goes.

The internet is not like a book or a newspaper or any printed articles. Language operates differently. The issue is to make sure your eBay listing is seen and has visibility. SEO. Search engine optimization. Search engines operate differently, grammar is not their interest. Key words matter.

The title is important. In using “Genuine Fake” in an ebay listing title:

    1) A search for “genuine” brings up the listing(s)
    2) A search for “fake” brings up the listings(s)

in that category search. The title is the first thing searched, many people do not use the option to also search inside of an listing for key words.

The objective in having these listings is to advertise on the issues and problems. To actually sell the item if a person insists on buying. In using very large size text – it is annoying and shouts. Also good. The message must be where the items are sold. This is actually the most effective method to promote awareness.

We did not see such a flood of victims when this type of action occured inside of eBay. There needs to be more emphasis on proactive measures – preventing people from becoming victims rather then trying to help them after becoming victims.

Also should a person read and still decide to take the risk to bid and buy – they are prepared to test upon arrival. As a result they will not do a quick OS check, but full testing. You can guess what this leads to. Yes, a nice red negative for a seller, carefully aimed.

Over 3,500 articles have been published by the FrankenFlash Project in less then one year. Three sites were lost in this year’s battle. It would be wonderful to have time for polish and perfecting, but there is no time. The content of the message is more imperative then grammar polishing. English for more than 50% + of our readers is a second or third language.

Given the urgency – the message content is the priority.

For reader commentators, we don’t care about your spelling, your grammar, your typo’s. If KittyFireFlash can confuse Bribes with Brides….

We truly appreciate your efforts, especially if you try to respond in English and it is not your language. You should be aware that you may respond in your language. If you can do both, even better. What matters is your message.

About the seller in this article, international-distributing – it sums up the problem on eBay very nicely.

SOSFakeFlash does not believe the problem will stop until eBay changed the rules for listing flash memory technology for sale. However, the number of victims can be reduced if people take their message inside of eBay. The more people who do this, the better.

Be warned that some may get a spanking from eBay, others may be asked to rewrite and rewrite until eBay can no longer object. If many do this and especially in different countries, eBay will have it’s hands full and it is not likely that they would be able to stop all of these listings. We have discovered Nobody home on eBay – few employees. As fake flash memory sellers take advantage of this, so can you.

It is also advisible to list in your native language – your objective is to warn buyers in your own country.
