Posted by KittyFireFlash on September 6, 2009
ajs_socks is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake – false capacity) Flash USB drives . Registered in the United Kingdom, ajs_socks is very slippery and skilled at fraud.
In his listings he showed a generic 64GB flash drive, but sent counterfeit Kingston DT150 64GB flash drives instead. Clever. His listing descriptions were:
Brand New USB 2.0 64 GB Key Pen Flash Memory Drive
New 500GB Key Flash Memory Drive USB 2.0 Pen 10%Charity
New 64GB Key Flash Memory Drive USB 2.0 Pen 10% Charity

ajs_socks doesn’t have an issue selling counterfeit items, in fact seems very comfortable in doing so. ajs_socks is a seller in the UK that has learned the secrets of fake flash sellers in the Orient.

For the 64GB listing SOSFakeFlash was confused a Kingston DT150 was being reported for the seller.

I bought from that exact page and if you notice he uses the same picture throughout all his flash drive sales.
Obviously, if someone was to be selling real 64GB Kingston they would be shouting from the rooftops and display as many pictures as possible.
He does not list any specific brands, but anything just so he can ship whatever he feels like, as long as it is “64GB”.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device. Don’t forget to leave the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” in your feedback to help others. Do not change your feedback to get a refund – you will only create more victims
Do a good deed, warn other eBay buyers of fake flash. Help rescue them. Check positive feedback for a fake flash seller and send messages to warn. Just state facts, ask them to test. You can only send up to 5 messages a day. Save another person from a fake flash nightmare.
