silviajune – Urgent! Did You Buy A 16GB usb flash drive Pen Stick From This eBay Seller?

Posted by KittyFireFlash on August 24, 2009

silviajune sells false capacity 16GB usb flash drives on eBay. Did you buy from this seller registered in China?

Your usb flash drive will not have a true capacity of more than 2GB according to results already send in by victims. You risk not only losing money but also your data!

If you bought any of these items listed on ebay:

16GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory 16G Pen Stick Thumb Drive W
16GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory 16G Pen Stick Thumb Drive I
16GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory 16G Pen Stick Thumb Drive H
16GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory 16G Pen Stick Thumb Drive K
16GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory 16G Pen Stick Thumb Drive A
16GB USB 2.0 Flash Memory 16G Pen Stick Thumb Drive S

You should immediately test to determine the true capacity using: H2testw 1.4 – Gold Standard In Detecting USB Counterfeit Drives . Do not store any files unless testing confirms you received the advertised capacity of 16GB. Failure to test the full advertised size prior to storing data could mean permanent file loss if you do not have a back up copy stored elsewhere.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash IMMEDIATELY if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

Victims of silviajune are reporting silviajune will refund you quickly if you file a dispute, to silence you – SHUT YOU UP! Fake flash sellers need to ensure victims do not report them to eBay and also do not leave any evidence trail in feedback. If this happens, their fake flash selling days are numbered.

SOSFakeFlash asks you to warn other eBay members who purchased from this seller. It is urgent. You can only warn up to 5 people who left positive feedback a day, no more than that. Chose any feedback page at random, but only those who have left feedback in the last 20 days so victims still have time to test and to file a paypal claim. Ask anyone who confirms they have a fake to report in to SOSFakeFlash and to join you in the effort to rescue others.

Use this tool to monitor progress on negative feedback increase: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=silviajune&Dirn=Received+by

You don’t know how many people have been frauded, we do. It is one of the worse cases yet.

You have the right to share your buying experience with fellow eBay members, simply state what you discovered and ask if they tested and what their actual capacity turns out to be. Avoid calling the seller names in your messages even if deserved – it can cause the eBay member to suspect you instead of the seller.

This seller has over 360 listings active at the time this article was published.

On July 17, 2009, SOSFakeFlash issued an internet warning: silviajune Ebay Fake Flash Seller High Alert Devious – China

On July 4, 2009 SOSFakeFlash issued: silviajune eBay Seller – Warning. Report To SOSFakeFlash Immediately

Unfortunately silviajune continues to dump 16GB false capacity flash drives, over 360 listings active as this article was released. The average bid price is less then $20 US, often as low as $10 US. SOSFakeFlash regrets to inform potential buyers and those who have purchased so far, that unless silviajune is running a charity it is impossible to offer a usb 16GB flash drive at those prices. It is simple, what genuine flash drive chips cost.

Victim consumer education on nand flash storage chips:

The cost of an 8GB chip is over $13.00 US and you need two of them to reach 16GB capacity. A 2GB flash drive chip costs a little more than $4.00 US. What does this tell you?

The choice is yours. Will you let silviajune continue to fraud? Will the number of victims continue to increase? SOSFakeFlash first warned about silviajune at the beginning of July 2009. The only way to help others is to make sure you leave negative feedback with the calling cards of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” to warn others who have not left any feedback. If you left positive feedback, do a follow up to your feedback stating the truth.

What about upcomingtrend? Seller sells same items. Has anyone sent in the addresses for upcomingtrend?

Most of us and that also includes me, threw the envelopes away. Always regretted that for my fake flash sellers. How was I supposed to know I bought fakes! I keep all packaging from sellers on eBay for at least a month. Even the peanuts. LOL!

    Hi TechChips!

No, we are still waiting for someone to send in addresses on upcomingtrend. Everyone so far threw away the mailing envelopes.

We need to find out if upcomingtrend is related to silviajune. At the moment it is unclear. We need to find out and fast!

I can say that the team at SOSFakeFlash is ready to SCREAM. We have seen those usb flash drives one to many times. It is amazing. Those stupid models have generated at least 500,000 US in fake flash profits and it just goes on and on.

Perhaps some day, victims are going to wake up and fight back. Who knows?

InspectorTech says we should just present the models and then add ebay seller id’s as time goes by. It would save a lot of time on writing articles.

Anyway, victim’s of upcomingtrend dive into your trash bin, we need this sellers addresses!

    Hey Kitty,

Okay why not show the usb flash drive fakes for everyone to see?

    Hi TechChips,

You still up? Thought you would be sleeping by now, given your time zone. TechReporters published all the models for both sellers.

    People can see them at:

BTW we need people to report more suspects. At the moment the team is vey busy working on a new fake flash seller’s list for everyone. There isn’t much time left if people want their sellers to be on the new list.

August 2009 – SOSFakeFlash Battle Plan

Now go to sleep TechChips! Please? We need you alive.

Has anyone had any reports about seller shukmart re Pen memory stick K

    Hi Les,

No, we have not had a report on shukmart yet. This id has just started listing.

But we smell a rat coming out of the wood work. At the moment it is too early to contact buyers, as the id’s are likely to be plants.

What kind of rat are we smelling?

    The

    newarcade
    e.goodshop2008
    g.ge.gett
    candyatsz
    usbquatos
    mygodyeah
    hjstore

kind. Most of these id’s have been suspended.

There is a strong possibility, shukmart is the new replacement to continue selling.

    Good work Les!

Thank you for your eagle eyes. If you can, please keep an eye on this id and wait about 2 weeks to start contacting buyers. Everyone, if you are interested in helping please do. SOSFakeFlash has a zero tolerance policy, we need only 1 confirmation to put the seller on the list.

The horrible part is that we can not stop shukmart from listing over 70 items at once! But we can be waiting and try to minimize the damage, by pouncing on any eBay members who leave positive FB. Give it about 8 to 10 days from this comment date. We will need addresses on envelopes. shukmart has already sold a bunch, so either he has to cancel all the auctions or is committed.

You are doing Les, exactly what we need most. Thank you for spotting this id.

shukmart is still listing with a vengence!

Unbelievable how eBay assists the fraud! Until somebody reports a fake we are stuck – unable to issue an alert. It really makes me sick.

We really need people to put up listings on ebay – sreaming fake for a usb flash drive size. It is the only way to cut down on the fraud and warn people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
