he sells 2,4,8,16,32 gig player, but i think: he sells only faked nand flash with real 2 gig !
dont catch over 2 gig, or u have many crash problems if you will store more than 2 gig !

For almost all mp players, 2GB is usually the size most people receive. The lucky ones get up to 4GB. A lot depends on the prices paid for them, but not always.
There is little consistency for the flash chips used in fakes, even if the models look the same. Any low capacity chips they can find are used. You’ve just proved it again in your tests. It makes it hard to post solutions by ebay fake flash seller. For the solutions at fix fake flash site, showing pictures of the items is not helpful.
The same problem exists for usb flash drives. A person can buy several of the same model and find they have different usb flash controller chips and different flash storage chips inside. Unfortuantely many people will test one, find a low level format programme and use it on all of them. Big mistake without checking each one, might restore one or two, but destroy the rest because the chips and controllers inside were different.

andy-wjm looks like your standard ebay seller that is doing feedback manipulation by selling cheap items for pennies with free shipping.
People should buy some of these cheap item just to drive up this cost of doing business.

andy-wjn (not paypal) refunded the purchase price without deduction. Nevertheless, I have rated him negatively. Finally, it is fraud. He has offered to me by email (not via ebay) EUR 10,– if I withdraw my feedback. But I am not corrupt. Unlike eBay, I do not want to earn by a impostor. Anyway, I have no other explanation as to why eBay does not respond!

Looking into the feedback history for this seller makes one ask themselves the question is this seller buying feedback through a network of ids? Is this seller operating as part of a ring or selling under multiple accounts?
For example this user has purchased many items from andy-wjm & best-e-bay-sell & best-phone-sell …. why does someone need so many iphone skins etc?

How can this seller make a profit if selling thousands of items for less then $0.10 with free shipping?

I’m not sure how accurate the analysis tool is as a significant number of this sellers listings are “private”. Thousands of the items sold go for $0.1 and there is the possibility that the cheap items are not actually sold as the buyers are “friends” of the seller.

Yes, maybe, ITguy. I do not understand how he does it. Actually, he can not survive it. But he is alive. And I think he lives well. His bribes are likely well spent. But even if the tool is not exactly working, the result says a lot. Even if deducted the result by 50%, he remains a giant. I am convinced that the seller is with his (presumably) many accounts one of the main sources of income from eBay. We do not get broken him. Perhaps someday one of his facades. But then he already lives somewhere else again…

Well Im am not happy after seeing this.. I have been suckered into buying one of these mp3/4 players only to find this website by chance through a ebay scammers listing. Thank God for that. I have yet to receive this 16gb 2.8 touch screen player. After reading this I know Im going to end up with a 2gb player. its been 15 days so i should be receiving it shortly.

At least you have the opportunity to prepare yourself. If you are gentle with fingers, Jayson you might like to save yourself a lot of trouble in testing. Carefully open the mp player, decode the small usb flash chip (usb controller) then the usb storage chip (long black chip). Write all the information down on paper. Search the internet for information. Especially for information on the storage chip, the manufacturer and the size of the chip.
Find out the real size. Photograph it. Remember that manufactures list in Gb not GB as a rule. This means you must divide by 8. Gb is bits, not bytes. 8 bits make a byte.
Example 16Gb is only 2GB.
Send your information to sosfakeflash using the report a fake tab if you have false capacity. Also any new addressing information for andy-wjm. eBay sellers change their addresses. We keep the changes in a database to track them. It you receive chinese characters, this is not a problem. Use google translation from chinese to english.
Warnings on eBay are important.
If eBay will not protect you, at least other members try to.

Well got it today and it is showing up as a 2gb not a 16gb in Flash Memory Toolkit Pro. I managed to open it up and snap a pic of the chip-set.
I tried to use mp3 player utilities to undo the hack but it fails to recognize the mp4 player.

So at least he’s been notified of what will happen before I’ve even received it. I know he will offer a refund, but the only way for me to remove the negative feedback (After testing of course) will be to provide me with a working 16GB model 🙂 A refund won’t do.
I figure – as he has tons of money but technically carries no real 16GB or 32GB models – it will be harder for him to provide a correct unit than money. As I doubt they even exist 🙂

We’ve emailed back and forth a couple of times. He claims he checked it before sending it and its legit – I gave him one last warning and informed him I want an actual capacity and quality test and not to rely on the count in the NTFS file-system.
We will see 🙂 He knows now at least that it wont be a quiet purchase if its a fake 😀

It’s very bad news. Can he be stopped? Yes.
We have been able to stop powersellers like him before. It requires effort on the part of victims. It’s the only way. The first step is to report into sosfakeflash.
How is the fraud stopped, how is a seller suspended? Not by eBay, but by the victims.
SOSFakeFlash can not and is unable to do the work for victims. There are just too many scam artists. We succeed in removing sellers and putting out their fake flash lights when eBay members commit to fighting back.
We are here to empower victims. Victims need to decide. Accept what happened and loose their money and or files. Refuse the fraud. Join. Fight back and demand justice.

I know ebay makes one somwhow greedy to pick this one good bid.
Actually it has been 3 items:
a 8GB MP3-player
a 32GB MP4-player and
a 4GB PSP-clone
Total value paid for the bids is about 10€, for shipment 21€.
So the loss will not be too big. An I went through the feedbacks first, before I did my bid. But I did not expect this systematic behind the positive feedbacks.
Anyway, I copied Lloyds template for the email and sent the same to andy-wjm (for what that may be worth).

I found one feedback complaining about Fake Flash before and already copied the h2testw from Heise. Will be interesting what comes out there.
As a matter of fact I would be satisfied with 2 GB and the possibility to extend memory with a SD-card.
Of course this would not affect the negativ feedback if it was a fake flash.
Another problem seems to be the battery. I’ll report how long it lasts (andy-wjm stated somehow 20 hours 😉 ).
Is is possible to reprogram the flash to show the real capacity without making the inoperable ?
I think it is a good job that you do trying to fight this kind of behavoir on ebay, but I do not think that it will change a lot.
As soon as he is being shut down by ebay he will arise with another account and proceed his businees as usual. And even the shut down by ebay is not very likely as you already stated that they earn al lot of money with people like this.
I will come back to this in about 3 weeks when I received and tested the devices.
