Hi Carol.
I just saw your concerns about fake USB hubs, and felt compelled to comment. 🙂
To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a fake USB hub. However, some very, very cheap hubs will only allow one port on them to operate at a time. In some other cases, some very cheap hubs that are advertised as being USB 2.0 compliant may actually only have one port that’s USB 2.0, with the rest operating at the standard USB 1.1 speeds.
The best way to test a USB hub is to plug items into every available port on it, and try to use them all at the same time.

AS OF TODAY THE PERSON THAT I AM REFERING TO THAT RECIEVED A FAKE NEVER LEFT NEGITIVE FEEBACK..THE ONE THAT LEFT A NEGITIVE FEEDBACK JUST LEFT IT IN THE LAST TWO DAYS. THIS SELLER EVEN SHOWS THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE MEMORY CARDS AND IF YOU LOOK AT EACH ONE..SOME HAVE DIFFERENT STAMPS IN THE WHITE PART ON THE BACK. THE SELLER IS LISTING MORE STUFF SLOWLY… STARTED OUT ABOUT 5 ITEMS AND NOW UP TO 122 ITEMS AND BUILDING AS THE POSITIVE FEEDBACKS COME IN.
I THINK THIS SELLER WAL-MART88 MAY BE ANOTHER ID FOR W-MART888. AS YOU NOTICE HOW CLOSE IN RESEMBLANCE THOSE IDS ARE TOGETHER.
