Did you find Kingston Kingston DT150 Counterfeit awareness day On June 17th informative? The problem is widespread on eBay and in many different countries.
Keep reporting in using the report a fake tab, we will enter your information into the database and after investigation, issue alerts.
There is a serious outbreak of fake 32GB MP Players on eBay. In the past months 16GB was the favorite false capacity size being offered. Now fraudsters are offering 32GB fakes!
If you bought this MP Player in any advertised size, test and report in immediately! We want all the seller id’s and especially the shipping addresses on envelopes and any “return” addresses sellers offer if they demand you send back for a refund.
Update June 21, 2009.
MP Player Education “Days” has been approved. It will be scheduled to start mid week and will run for several days. If you have an MP Player fake please report in quickly so you do not miss having your seller in the series. Do you know of good sites and resources for MP Players and fixing them? Let us know by writing to sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com

Never throw away the shipping envelopes, they provide important clues to connect the dots between eBay seller id’s. Don’t forget to leave the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” in your feedback. It alerts other buyers from your fake flash seller.

Ah, Kitty never said what the advertised sizes were for this model on ebay. For good reason. It is not about the model really – it is the graphic.
The 32GB outbreak is for a lot of models. They can be sized as 16GB, 8GB or 4GB or even 2GB.
The graphic photo matters. It is being used by more than one seller id. Kitty wanted a quick connect the dot’s exercise.
So if you bought an mp player that used this graphic, test. If bad size, send in your results with the details.
BTW it has been confirmed, but the seller and size is not being released right now. The objective is to find all the sellers, quickly!

I found 2.
llasdinnka
rilinvidj
at 32gb. Do I get a prize or something?

No you don’t fakehunter. You took too long to report. llasdinnka is now toast. Only rilinvidj as far as we know is still selling this 32GB fake.
Keep hunting though and let us know what you find.
The sosfakeflash team has decided to do something similar to the DT150 consumer awareness day. Only this time for MP Players!
It is really bad. Fake mp players are making a lot of money on ebay. People are getting smarter about usb flash drives but they are really getting into trouble with mp players. Most think the items are defective. They are not. The flash drive chips have been reprogrammed to lie about the real size.
Keep reporting folks! It is making a difference.
eBay and the fake flash sellers are minting money at your expense. Fight back or let them have your hard earned money. The choice is YOURS!
