celikengin is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Kingston DT150 64GB Flash USB drives. Registered in Belgium, celikengin was caught.
The problem with counterfeit DT150 64GB and 32GB Kingston usb flash drives continues on eBay. All eBay sellers who sell usb flash drives must test these items carefully with software such as H2testw. A proper test is not simply plugging in the device to see what is reported by the operating system. False capacity usb flash drives are digitally altered to trick the operating system about the actual capacity.
SOSFakeFlash advises eBay members not buy any Kingston USB flash drives on eBay, it is not safe. If you buy from a on authorized Kingston reseller or distributor, your chances of receiving a fake is extremely high. celikengin was not an authorized reseller. The majority of those who sell Kingston products on eBay are not authorized resellers – they pick up merchandize from Chinese wholesale ring sites in the orient. These sites are infested with counterfeits. There are no super cheap bargains. Be very careful of sellers and do your homework on what Kingston offers first.
Do you think celikengin is the only eBay seller who got into trouble or is the only seller heading for trouble? SOSFakeFlash has many alerts and articles on the subject. Here is a listing recently found to demonstrate the issue.
Just discovered for sale on eBay by seller baby_rose_petal registered in the United Kingdom is a 128GB Kingston usb flash drive.

More than 10? Frightening!

Really? The seller uses it and it works? Well SOSFakeFlash invites eBay seller baby_rose_petal to contact Kingston immediately! Kingston Technologies will be very surprised to discover they have a 128GB usb flash drive of this model on the market! They only announced the the very first 128GB flash drive on 15th of June – and it looks nothing like the picture below!! The 128GB model will not be available except on special order for some time to come – so don’t expect to see them retailing in stores or on the Internet.

You see, no one as of June 2009 has a 128GB usb penstick flash drive available on the retail market.
Kingston Technologies engraves the capacity on their connectors for higher capacity against counterfeiting nowadays. So this usb flash drive even without investigated testing is a FAKE! Counterfeit! Why? Kingston never made it and no 128GB usb pensticks are available to consumers on the general retail market.
Does seller baby_rose_petal know? SOSFakeFlash is not sure but given the information provided by the seller about owning and using one to reassure buyers we suspect he does. With over 10 for sale, baby_rose_petal is likely to have an alert published on him soon, just as clinking now has one. SOSFakeFlash simply does not have the manpower to contact each and every want-to-be Kingston USB flash drive seller on eBay to warn them to test their product!
It is a sellers responsibility to research and test technology items they wish to offer for sale.
