digitalting0303 Ebay Fake Flash Seller High Alert Devious – Hong Kong

Posted by KittyFireFlash on June 15, 2009

digitalting0303 is devious eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives and memory cards. Registered in Hong Kong digitalting0303 is currently engaging in the use of private auctions.

digitalting0303 is not a new fake flash seller! On October 25, 2008 SOSFakeFlash issued an internet alert: Alert – digitalting0303 – Ebay Fake Flash Seller for selling 32GB usb memory sticks that were fakes!

He received a 90 day suspension from eBay. Recently released from eBay fake flash prison what did he do? What all fake flash sellers do. Begin by selling trivial low priced items at less then £1 to build up his feedback score. Then digitalting0303 went back to what he does best, selling false capacity items! In April digitalting0303 slowly ramped up selling fake digital memory cards and usb flash drives. It is now a flood at over 60 usb flash drives and 20 memory cards available! His frauding assembly line is in full gear!

In his latest fake flash selling spree he has sold more than 4500+ items to the tune of more than £27,000. How does he get away with it? Private auctions of course!

eBay Private Auction Listings – eBay Fake Flash Sellers Prefer – Victims Learn The Meaning The Hard Way – A Guide

This seller needs to be Stopped. If you bought anything from him, please test immediately. Leave immediate negative feedback and make sure to leave the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” and describe the false capacity item to help others. Do not change your feedback to get a refund, unless you wish to see him reach 9000+ fakes sold or even more…. When a fraudster uses private auctions this is about the only weapon to bring his score down and alert everyone what he is up to. Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

This seller needs to be stopped. His buyers warned! If you have any free time please consider:

1. Contact eBayers who left positive feedback. Any feedback that shows “Private” as an item number is a fake flash item. Randomly choose a date in the last 25 days. Older is better as these victims have little time left to test and file a dispute.

2. If you are a victim of this seller, please report any current listings for the item you purchased. Go to the bottom of the listing page and report it. One listing after another. Also report private auction is being used – this is not in the spirit of what eBay intended for private auctions. digitalting0303 is abusing it. It is obvious why.

Our message for eBay:

digitalting0303 was caught before. You suspended him. You should have kicked him off eBay for good. What did YOU do to warn all the people frauded by him in the Fall of 2008? Did you warn the buyers that their 32GB usb flash drives were fakes – false capacity and dangerous to use? No you did not. You quietly pulled his plug and removed the evidence.

What did he do the moment you released him from eBay fake flash prison – your “suspension”? Return to his old ways. It clearly shows who is in control of eBay. Fraudsters rule! You do not.

Will you quietly “suspend” the seller again? So you can remove his listings and hide the evidence from victims and the global public? Your “cut” in this recent frauding is about 13% of his sales.

Or will you actually do the “right thing for once? Contact his buyers, warn them, refund them! Who matters more? Your profits or the eBay members who allow you to have profit and sales? Losing files and the implications for victims can not be “measured”. Stop listening to your “risk management” team and start acting responsibly. By allowing sellers like digitalting0303 on eBay you are implicated in the selling data poison!

Important Reading:

Don’t forget to leave the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” in your feedback to help others. Do not change your feedback to get a refund – you will only create more victims.

    To Indri

Do not bother trying to deal with digitalting0303 directly. It is a waste of time and will use up your paypal claim period. If you have not filed a dispute, do so immediately! You have no time to loose!

We do not advise that victims waste their claim time by engaging in endless email dialogues for any seller that has an alert issued. If an alert has been issued, you have a seller who sold false capacity flash based technology. SOSFakeFlash does not issue alerts unless an eBay seller sold fakes.

File immediately Indri, Paypal is aware of this seller. So is eBay, otherwise they would not have issued a suspension. Good Luck. Fight for your rights as a victim.

Here is the response I got from Honk Kong police after filing a complaint:

    Dear John,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be informed that for this kind of case, Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department is the right channel you can make your complaint .
    Here’s their details:

Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department
    website : http://www.customs.gov.hk
    Complaints Hotline : (852)8100-3553 / (852) 2852-3185 Address : Room 1030, 10/F, Skyline Tower, 39 Wang Kwong Road, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, HKSAR email : customsenquiry@customs.gov.hk

However, as i read from your email, i believed Hong Kong is just a location that they may use to sent out products. We check the company website is hosted in China, and believe this company should running their business in China. I suggest you should make a report to China Police.

Beside, as you mentioned buyer mainly use Paypal to sent money to this company. You may also make a complaint to Paypal, I think they should have some system to block such seller account to avoid further loss of public in the future.

    Sir,

The Shenzhen Flash Drive Industry and Trade Company and its representative, Sean Lee alias Shuyin Ni (shuyinni@hotmail.com he also uses nishuyin@hotmail.com ) are conducting an international criminal enterprise from the http://bigflashdrive.com/ website. They are using Hong Kong Ari Mail (example registered Tracking number RA858276173HK), Paypal, United States Postal Service and hotmail to achieve this criminal enterprise. They are selling Kingston 128GB flash drives which are really 4GB drives with a re-engineered controller chip to make them appear to be 128GB cards. The crime is described here in detail:

    https://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2008/09/01/szeho663-the-grand-daddy-of-fake-flash-drives-on-ebay/

I have tested 128GB device with recommended test software h2testw_1.4 and it is indeed a 4GB counterfeit Kingston Flash Drive.

    Sincerely,

    John
