minstore88 Ebay Fake Flash Seller Alert Devious – China

Posted by KittyFireFlash on May 23, 2009

minstore88 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Memory Cards. Based in China minstore88 uses private auctions. Current estimates are over 500+ sold.

Buyer’s experience: The card appears exactly as shown in the eBay photo and has a hologram logo sticker on the back with “QCB.” The SD card arrived in an unsealed plastic SD holder. After winning the auction, I see that the Seller has made both the Buyer’s and Seller’s eBay Feedback “Private” and from what I see now, that’s oftentimes an indication that the Seller (even this one with 99.8% positives and an eBay PowerSeller) is selling defective or even fake memory cards. I have asked the seller for a refund but not heard back. I will pursue this through PayPal if needed.

Update – the seller refunded and claimed he thought he was selling 16GB memory cards. Honest eBay sellers do not use private auctions to hide what they are selling. This is used to hide the evidence trail from buyers when they begin to disocover the truth about the merchandise sold. If eBay seller minstore88 was honest, he would be very busy contacting buyers to warn them about the memory cards and issueing full refunds. Slinking away in to the shadows is not acceptible behavior. Ask yourself a question. If a person “accidentally” hits a person with a car, is it acceptable for the driver to step on the gas peddle to run from the scene or should the driver get out to help the victim and call for assistence? With eBay seller minstore88, memories are being destroyed.

Fraud is fraud. Test any item you bought from this seller and file a claim with Paypal immediately if you discover you have recented a false capacity memory card. Do not use it to take any photos – until and unless you are able to verify that you have a true capacity memory card. You risk losing your precious memories!

Important Reading:

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

Don’t forget to leave the calling card of “SOSFakeFlash” and “H2testw” in your feedback to help others. Do not change your feedback to get a refund – you will only create more victims.
