One victims comments on the memory card:

The SD card I received looks exactly like the one in the Seller’s eBay listing with the exception that the card I received has the brand name SanDisk in two place: at the top and at the bottom of the sticker on the front of the card. Also, there is a tiny white logo in the upper right of the sticker that says: “ESP MD mclow M” in a white oval with something like a “Nike swoosh” inside the oval as well.

The back of the SD card is black and blank. If there’s supposed to be a serial number or some other QC Acceptance number or code on a valid SanDisk SDHC card, this card has none. The card arrived in an unsealed plastic SD card holder in a brown envelope. Please also note in the eBay listing that the Seller says under Shipping:”3.We will send the item as GIFT and declared lower value for shipping purpose only. It will not reflective to the total price you paid or the market value of the product. Lower value will avoid or minimize your import tax. Any import charge or fee is buyer’s responsibility.” If correct, I’ll assume this is Customs fraud and possibly postal fraud clearly spelled out in the Seller’s eBay listing!

It is customs fraud to lie about items being sent abroad. Items that are “purchased” are not gifts. This is a practise many sellers engage in. It is also a subject of hot debate amoung eBay members. Few like the tax man, but consider this, customs employee’s have a duty to perform and to protect the country that employs them from contraband and harm. They don’t work for free and need to have their salaries paid. Seller look221112 not only sold fake flash but also committed customs and postal fraud.

It is a very debated subject. If you are a victim of look221112 and you kept your envelope you have additional evidence to submit with your claim.
