Update – Genuine ebay sellers list see: https://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2009/02/16/safe-ebay-sellers-for-usb-flash-drives-mp-players-memory-cards-genuine-capacity/

Update – May 25th eBay Counterfeit Kingston DT150 64GB DataTraveler USB Flash Drives Revealed – Case of eBay Seller fufu$$ you won’t want to miss the evidence presented and especially comments attempting to exonerate this seller. The photographs are important for any one interested in buying this usb flash drive. A buyer victim reveals what you need to know.

https://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2009/05/25/ebay-counterfeit-kingston-dt150-64gb-datatraveler-usb-flash-drives-revealed-case-of-ebay-seller-fufu/

Do you have some free time this week to do a good deed?

The SOSFakeFlash team needs a break. Everyone worked extremely hard compiling the new ebay fake flash sellers list – that you all urgently need. See eBay Fake Flash Sellers List – 200905

There is an outbreak of Kingston Fake DataTraveler Usb flash drives appearing on eBay. We think a lot of sellers are unaware, http://fakeflashnews.wordpress.com/ to scroll though the recent listings on sellers or do some searchs on your local ebay.

Find sellers and their listings and ask them if they have tested the true capacity of their flash drives, MP Players or memory cards with the program H2testw. Let them know there is a serious problem and that they need to test! Looking at “Properties” in an operating system is NOT the test. You all learned that…the hard way. Look for sellers who are young or have good feedback to contact. If they don’t respond to your question or ignore you please email sosfakeflashdrive@gmail.com with the seller’s id. Give them a few days to respond. The fact is, in the last 14 months, when team members contacted a seller and they ignored… they eventually appeared on the list. This has been proven many times.

For Kingston flash drives look for anything at 32GB or higher. The same applies to Sony or any Micro Vault or Viao listings for flash usb drives. Be suspicious of low prices! Nobody sells on ebay to lose money! The general guide lines for flash chip prices of:

1GB = 3.38
2GB = 4.11
4GB = 6.61
8GB = 13.23

in US dollars apply. The 16GB chip is new and runs at about $29. Anything less is…????

If you don’t want to contact sellers, look at the ebay fake flash list for sellers not suspended or even your fake flash seller, scroll through the positves, find a date and then contact 4 people a day for 3 days. Pick any day in last 3 weeks. Ask them to test their devices! This is how the project began! You would not have this site or the others, if people didn’t contact others.

If you like our sites and found them helpful to you, please help out this weekend! Next week too. We are putting you in charge!

Best Regards,
The SOSFakeFlash Team

minstore88 Ebay Fake Flash Seller Alert Devious – China

Posted by KittyFireFlash on May 23, 2009

minstore88 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Memory Cards. Based in China minstore88 uses private auctions. Current estimates are over 500+ sold.

Buyer’s experience: The card appears exactly as shown in the eBay photo and has a hologram logo sticker on the back with “QCB.” The SD card arrived in an unsealed plastic SD holder. After winning the auction, I see that the Seller has made both the Buyer’s and Seller’s eBay Feedback “Private” and from what I see now, that’s oftentimes an indication that the Seller (even this one with 99.8% positives and an eBay PowerSeller) is selling defective or even fake memory cards. I have asked the seller for a refund but not heard back. I will pursue this through PayPal if needed. Read the rest of this entry »

Even if you find your seller on the list, do not forget to report into SOSFakeFlash. See the report a fake tab on the top menu bar.

We have been rearranging the menu columns at the site. We are now including comments from some of the other sites and have increased the number of articles listed on the bottom left column menu bar from fighting flash fraud. This site is very important – the early warning system of potential fraudsters. Two sites (right menu column) that offer translation in to over 30 languages now show “Translation Available”, you should only try to translate 1 article at a time. The engine is only willing to do 1 page every 15 minutes – it will preserve the translation for future readers. If you are in a hurry, just use google directly to translate one of our sites.
