I received a fake 32 GB Kingston flash from Abestpartner0. Thanks to your info, I ran that software that checks the true amount of storage (< 1 GB), and I put in a dispute with Paypal. Abestpartner0 never responded and I got a refund without returning the fake crap drive. Appreciate your time and effort on these matters!

I also got a 32gb drive from abestpartner0. The first clue something might be wrong with it was when I saw that the activity LED was missing. I plugged it in and my computer only said ‘Pleas insert disk in Drive F:’. I was not yet able to run H2testw on it and I will do so tonight.
I contacted the seller the same day and asked for a replacement. The seller said “I will reship a brand Oirginal new one to you after one week latter.Because our factory have a little technical problem about USB flash disk.It will take about one week to resolve this issue.” [sic] and now, a month later I received a 16gb SD card instead. It is also a fake. H2testw reports that it is 100% corrupt.

I finally got a refund from PayPal! Be persistent and keep the packaging. Here’s a quick summary of the process:
1. Contacted PayPal with test documentation confirming it was a fake.
PayPal instructed me to return it to the seller abestpartner0.
2. Refused to return a counterfeit item to the seller.
PayPal requested third party documentation to confirm.
3. Contacted Kingston and the very nice support staff sent me a letter of confirmation. (The serial number on the package was already used) I faxed the required info to PayPal.
4. PayPal then instructed me to confirm I had destroyed the product. I signed their form and faxed it to them along with pictures. I also noted that I made a video of the destruction for my records.
PayPal issued the refund.
It doesn’t sound all that complicated but the above process took nearly 3 months due to their delayed responses. I think they finally realized that I wasn’t going away. Everyone, please do the same! Be prepared to get a ton of automated runarounds, but do not give up. Holding them accountable is the right thing to do.
