    Hi Laurens,

Make sure to test upon arrival. Mean while take the opportunity to research this site for your moves in the boxing ring. safe2star is an old fake flash seller. Good at it.

  3. Laurens said

Well the sd card was only 2gb and I still need to receive the mp3 player.
When I get that ill open up the Paypal claims.

I opened up 2 cases at paypal and in both cases he said if I wanted half refund or if I gave positive feedback he would refunded everything.
Ofcourse I dont believe him but now Paypal closed one case allready.

Can anyone tell me what to do now?
This is the first time I needed to make a claim.

Laurens is reporting against safe2star. safe2star’s internet alert dates back to march 2009. At that time, reference reading articles were not included in an alert.

It is due to questions such as Laurens is asking, SOSFakeFlash chose to length alerts by providing additional reading material to assist victims.

An alert longer now and even a little boring – but the changes introduced in the summer do make it easier for victims of later sellers to find basic information they need more quickly.

As a result of Lauren’s plea safe2star is being reexamined. The id as yet, has not been connected to a counterfeit ring we have on file. The trademarks are there but it appears that this id is either an independent or belonging to a ring not yet detected.

safe2star targets mainly Europe and many victims are limited by the constraints of their mother tongue. It is one of the reasons this seller has lasted so long.

More news will be coming soon.

If anyone has a litte free time for fake flash angel duty, please contact buyers of this seller and warn them to test their items immediately!

i can only suggest that do what i did and bid on as much stuff on there auctions and it will become a headache for them with paper work and chasing there money. thats what i have done. i have opened 3 email accounts and just went hard on buying heaps of stuff and just said to them ther’re not getting a cent from me until i get whats mine. they owe me a $54.00 mpe player. i cant see how Ebay lets people like this keep trading on there sites especially when they are aware of them, but we all know why because ebay wants the $$$$$$’s for each unit sold. they’re just as much guilty for fraud.. check out safe2star world wide on ebay. remember go hard and just bid and win heaps of there goods but dont worry its just giving them back what they deserve.

  10. jayson said

you want be breaking the law, just having a little fun in the process. its ok for them to rip you off so just rip them off by bidding, winning and not paying. you only get x amounts of bids at a time but when they finish bid on more. its fun to see them hurting. lol

    Ahem. AHEM!

What you are doing is known a “Fake Flash Commando”. It is a very different activity from being a “Fake Flash Angel”.

There are those in the FrankenFlash Project who will be extremely upset at allowing these comments.

However, you are openly voicing the private thoughts of a few too many victims. As one of the “Ancients” I can understand why some people choose this road. A different kind of fighting. Anyone who goes on a covert mission for their country, is aware they are completely on their own. They have to accept the consequences if caught by the opposition.

At issue is the frustration of ebay members about ebay refusing to deal with the problem. It goes on and on and on……… It existed 5 years before the first person in the project decided to do something about it.

SOSFakeFlash, has to follow the straight and narrow path. Some of like it, some not. Everyone has to follow the rules. Battle with two arms tied. So? We learn kick boxing, use our feet and butt with our heads.

I help with data crunching and analysis. Two years of fighting and fake flash sellers just keep returning, wave after wave. 7 years then, for the problem on eBay.

Question to all? Just how long must it go on?

We are aware of fake flash commandos out there. We can spot the activity. And if we can, so can eBay.

It would be interesting hear from readers and victims on this controversal activity. This is a public site and people need to keep that in mind. Your fake flash seller will be reading too.

    Question for you Jason:

How are you are determining who is selling false capacity items?

One of the reasons so many fake flash sellers use private auctions is because they had previous ids. They got their asses kicked by fake flash commandos. It only made them more determined and even vicious.

I wonder if every victim of false capacity flash memory showed up at tiananmen square branishing their fakes, would we be able to fill it? There might not be any room for us, if truck load after truck pulls up and dumps the fake memory chips from around the world. It appears the reprogramming occurs in China, however we have occasionally seen it done elsewhere, but crudely.

SOSFakeFlash introduced a zero tolerance policy, one report – on to the list the seller goes.

Okay it is harsh, but it is based on experience and the urgency to try and warn people. Unfortuantely not enough ebay victims bother to contact other members. With 5 messages a day, eBay again makes it next to impossible to reach many buyers.

Once again, I am obliged to speak for my team and also the other groups in the FrankenFlash Project and tow the party line. We do not promote fake flash commando activies. It should be obvious to all why.

If anyone wishes to voice their opinions on this subject, please do.

If anyone has any ideas how to expedite a resolution to the problem without shutting down all postal systems and courier services in all countries to prevent fake flash from arriving at the door, please offer your suggestions.

You will have seen some comments by team members about fatigue and even getting cranky.

Well fake memory does get to people after a while. Just too many victims, not enough people to help deal with this crazy volume – a tsunami.

Yeah, there is now a fake flash memory tsunami on ebay. Private auctions, muliple item listing “buy now”‘s and people racing to get a fist full in a hurry, the prices so good.

We need more of everything. GET the message out!

Contact buyers, if they send in confirmation on sellers – we publish.

As for any eBay seller who uses private auctions? Report their listings, every day.

    One commment on “guerilla warfare”.

Some of the sellers of fake flash drives are purchasing feedback by selling items (stylus etc) for a penny including free shipping. What is stopping people from purchasing these items and NOT leaving any feedback? This is acceptable under EBay policies and will have the effect increasing the cost of doing business for these sellers.

  13. TechChips said

Bravo! You have presented a viable and ethical option that SOSFakeFlash can support.

    re: ITGuy

When buying the cheap items the sellers use to artificialy inflate their feedback scores (stylus, card readers, screen protectors, etc.) leave a negative feedback, instead of not leaving feedback at all 😉

I understand why the people involved with this project try to keep the things away from the dark side. I also believe it’s mostly a waste of time and resources. Your opponents are not playing by the rules and even the playing field is tilted in their favor.

You are creating a tide that will eventually make Ebay/Paypal reconsider their policies and get rid of fake flash sellers once and for all, but how long would that take ? It has already taken years and so much effort.

On the other hand, by using black hat tactics a handful of skilled and organized people could effectively halt all flash memory trade on Ebay for a while, prompting Ebay to take action – hopefully against the root of the problem 🙂

Have anyone tried to get press/tv coverage on the subject ?

  17. jayson said

theres always a handful of do goods in every bunch that stick up for the ones that are committing the crimes, if they ran a good honest business then there would be no need for anyone to do any wrong . the way i see it is that its just giving back what they give out. of course you being a keyboard knumb nut and you to havent been ripped off by a seller then you just wouldnt understand. I see that safe 2 star have finally been pulled off the ebay site now anyway at long last. now i have to find what new name they are trading under. Does anyone out there know there new name so i can go hard on some more products on there auctions.thanks.

    Hey Jason!

safe2star is taking a break. It is temporary. A feedback score of 23,000+ is something a fake flash memory seller will not surrender.

Instead this id will take a little time off. Use eBay’s metrics and evaluation of score against eBay. When a powerseller like this takes time of it means only one thing, they have switched tracks, an new fake flash eBay id is on the move to take over.

Kitty is going to be upset, as safe2star is on the show case list of powersellers.

We need more addressing information on safe2star. We only have one address on file. Fake flash memory sellers usually have several. One for sending, one for sending back and even different ones listed with paypal and or ebay. More effort is needed on profiling.

One thing we are seeing over time and this readers may not like. Fake Flash Sellers in the Orient are highly organized. They know the game, they know all of eBay’s flaws. They have prepared id’s long ago. They have an army of them, just waiting to be reactivated.

There are many different points of view in the FrankenFlash project.

I took a few moments to reread earlier comments. Everyone is correct that fake flash sellers do not play by the rules. There are no <strongRules.

There are fakeflash angels. They are the ones who send warning methods.

There are fakeflash commandos. They fight in ways we can not describe. We know they exist and we can see the activies. They fight fire with fire. SOSFakeFlash can not awknowledge them any more than countries can awknowledge “Special Forces” activities. The only thing we can say is we understand why they do what they do.

For the prissy – you can wave your disapproving finger all you like. They take the risks to save a lot of people from being harmed and there are no medals waiting, no parades.

We’ve studied this issue for over two years on eBay and have fought as best we could.

Everyone should be aware, that we fought the issue quietly in sleath inside of eBay many months before we considered having public websites. Some of us wish to return to that era – it was far more effective in removing fake flash sellers.

If you have addresses and contacts regarding safe2star it might be a good idea to contact us, Jayson. Meanwhile if you are interested in any additional work, have a look at the powersellers being showcased and who are still active.

    A VERY NASTY, is obamastores.

We need to return to our roots. Listings in eBay warning people about the problem. It really hurt the sales and it cut down on the profits.

Is there risk for a person who does this? Yes. The answer? Think like a fake flash seller. Get new id’s, buy a few trivial cheap items. Age the id’s and then start the listings. Set up the id’s on your grannies computer, or your uncle’s. The reason is IP tracing when you set up an account. It is important you don’t use your usual id if you can avoid it.

We are entering a new phase. The SOSFakeFlash site helps a lot of victims. But…how can we stop people from becoming victims? That is the real issue!!!!!!!!!! Prevention is better than cure.

Almost 80% of fake flash memory items sold come from eBay sellers in the Orient. A few will set up id’s in foreign countries to give the illusion of being local.

At the moment the focus is in shutting down powerseller id’s. Damaging them any way possible. This forces them to use baby id’s, fightfakeflash calls them gremlins. They are easier to take out.

As Kitty and the others keep on repeating – THIS IS A WAR! There are many battles that have been fought and will continue to be fought on eBay until they change the rules for listing flash based memory technology. Every victim can play a part and should. We do not wish to fight this issue with white hairs, wheelchairs and canes – as we grow older.

If you are unhappy about what happened to you. DO SOMETHING. What you do, is up to you. Not us. Channel your energy in being systematic, with a clear cold view. Do not be hot headed, do not be overly emotional.

We did not think the problem would be solved in a few months. It is millions of dollars involved, month after month. It is fraud. It is data poison and sadly people fall daily into the trap.

At my site and group there is a video, 1 million fake flash chips are sold every month in mp players, memory cards and usb flash drives. They are created almost exclusively in China. Many worm their way into eBay, it is infested!

Spread the message. Prevent people from biding and buying usb flash drives, memory cards and mp players on eBay. Use pricing to help you. 85% to 95% of these items sold on eBay are fakes, false capacity.

Don’t expect eBay to do something. They are spineless, no backbone, no interity. We have seen they have only one goal – the profit from listing fees and fees also apply to paypal also part of eBay btw.

It is up to you the victim and reader to fight back. eBay is suspending sellers now, Paypal is handing over more refunds. Why? Because YOU are forcing them to.

Every day, more victims are created. People are ill informed about the prices for flash memory. Profits will be earned and people will suffer the consequences. Slowly we are seeing improvement. It is the actions of an individual that matter. Every little action or contribution, helps.

If you visit InspectorTech’s site for fixing fake flash, you will not see a lot of articles. Why? The same usb controller families are always involved. China will keep producing them so long as their is a demand. The demand comes from people who fall for the illusion that they can buy these items CHEAP on eBay.

You can’t get a deal of 50% off or 70% off the prices in local stores! The fact is, 80% of the cost is the chip used. The real profit is small. Will people ever learn this fact? It is up to you to help educate the public so they can avoid becoming a victim.

I have one bit of advise for everyone. Don’t buy these items on eBay! Period. At work, put up a notice on the bulliten boards to warn people and leave your telephone number so people can ask you questions and you have the oportunity to share you expereince. It you have a newsletter in your town, get an article in describing the danger and to stay away from eBay. Educate. Save your community from eBay fakes. Hit where it hurts – the profits eBay sellers make, ebay and paypal.

You don’t have to give up your personal life. Just take a small action. Warn schools and the young people not to buy any mp players on eBay. To avoid memory cards and usb flash drives. Kitty is tired of writting letters for students who lost their projects and presentations for school, so their teachers would believe them.

I also bought a 16GB MP4 player from safe2star, depicted as the first one in this article, which turned out to be 2GB. Description was

He’s agreed to reimburse the product and shipping charges, including return shipping.

    His return address is:
    Lee Man Fung (SF)
    Room 1402,
Block 4, Bian Jian Da Yuan pharse 2, Yan He Nan Lu, Luo Hu District, Shenzhen

One thing I noted with the devices is that they both have a silver hologram sticker with the text
    16G (or 32G)

on them. Also a golden hologram with “JD” in the background and QCC or QCB as the main text.

When you have scam artists like safe2star, you aren’t going to get anywhere unless you start to think and act like safe2star. So you can either kick his butt anyway you can think off or expect him to continue. 2009. 2010. Okay 2011 and forever? As Kitty says, it is up to you.

There’s something that can i do?
