Hi anon – did you email your test results along with seller ID and item number to sosfakeflash@gmail.com? If not could you please do so – as much evidence as possible is needed to get fraudsters thrown off ebay. It would also be helpful if you warned others who buy the same item as you! Those of us who have been working on this for months are getting very tired and we could really do with the help of more victims.

i emailed this joker that he is selling fake flash drives. and should get off ebay as he is ruining ebay’s reputation. i tried to purchase a flash drive from him to get the test results but has blocked me from purchasing from him. 100% guilty.

  4. Anon said

Tired Altruist i have emailed the test results to paypal, i have received no response from them, i am now in the process of opening a dispute in ebay and in paypal.

I have also warned everyone of this guy on a forum i regularly visit.

@Zahid – if you have purchased off him before he wont let you take another flash drive from him, 1 per customer. Thats according to a neg ebay feedback anyway.

Fighting fake flash is hard work. It isn’t a secret that some of us have being doing it for 8 months now are pretty much exhausted. Like most people we have jobs, family and all sorts of things to balance.

But we are getting people reporting into us! One of the most valuable contributions is reporting a fake. It is how we can catch the sellers. Also, if everyone burned by a fake flash seller just contacts 5 people who bought a drive to warn them – that is passing the torch of rescue. Every lit bit helps. Doesn’t matter if it is a big contribution or a little one – if everyone gives a little of what they have to offer, even if a one time thing it shows. Just look at the fake flash seller list to see how many have been forced to deregister!

We have received two very wonderful contibutions this week.

His independent patrol alerted us to wild usb drive sizes being offered for Sony Micro Vaults. The info fit perfectly – proof to demonstrate the issue. We were researching and working on an article. His intel was icing on the cake! A guide on Sony Fake Flash was published yesterday – early!

    Forums

We are also finding more traffic from forums. People are refering to us. Good. Helps people to get help!

    Fake Flash Angels

Yeah. That is the area we really need help! Warning people. Trolling feedback for positivers to let them know they better test before they lose data. We got a number of reports in the last week of people losing important files – for good. That is sad. Losing money may hurt, but precious work? That hurts much more.

It’s why even if we are dropping we can not stop. Somebody or Somebodies have to warn people! When we investigate sellers – it is astonishing to see how they are busy dumping drives in 16GB. We know if one is reported fake the rest are too. So imagine what 2000 sold means!

If every victim contacts 5 people and they contact 5 people…you can see how a rescue chain works….
