electronicbase663 formerly known under szeho663 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Based in Hong Kong, electronicbase663 aka szeho663 is known on eBay as the “Grand Daddy of Fake Flash“. Why? Because this fake flash seller is very smart. The Grand Daddy of Fake Flash continues to out fox fake flash victims, eBay, PayPal and even to a degree, SOSFakeFlash and the FrankenFlash project. He is also shameless, addicted to fake flash selling and it’s profits.
If you bought a flash drive from him you have 1 chance in a million for a true capacity drive.
SOSFakeFlash chose to wait before publishing an alert on the new identity. Why? Yes we know by waiting victims are claimed. The fact is, he has so many victims already and going far back in time. Knowing that SOSFakeFlash was after him, he did what clever foxes do, dive deep into a fox hole. He even pulled a houdini – deregistered. When he thought the coast was clear, he climbed out of another fox hole reborn under a new identity – electronicbase663. No traces of szeho663 remain on eBay, you will only find it by checking his id history.
SOSFakeFlash is asking everyone who comes to this site and is a victim to join in and help out. Especially those who are victims of electronicbase663!
Read on to learn how and the history on this seller – the story of the Grand Daddy illustrates the problem with Fake Flash devices being sold on eBay. It is interesting, though his victims won’t appreciate this very much.

kun_elecshop99 was an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Based in China kun_elecshop99 sold over 1200+ flash drives and memory cards. He was chased from eBay by Fake Flash Angels and forced to deregister on November 27th, 2008. Many of the auctions were private listings. This is a clear warning that a seller is engaging in the sale of fake flash. Flash devices sold for $10 to $20 do not qualify for a listing of this type and is in clear violation of eBay’s intent for such auctions. It is why this seller earned the wrath of Fake Flash Angels.
If you bought a memory card or a usb flash drive from this seller test immediately! You can still file a dispute with PayPal – but hurry before your claim time runs out.

elizmeliz is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Based in the United States elizmeliz has sold over 1810+ flash drives and offered 11 different listings – mainly in 16GB Advertised capacity. Promoting himself as a USA seller elizmeliz generates a false sense of security for buyers. There is evidence that this seller sold fake flash in the summer of 2008 as well. Many buyers are conned into believing the drives have a “detect” – there is nothing defective in digitally altering the drive to lie about it’s true capacity. It is also illegal.

FixFakeFlash from SOSFakeFlash, explains steps to rescue a fake flash (counterfeit) drive. How you can try to return it to its true size. Wrestling with FrankenFlash drives to make them useful is a mystery to most victims of fake flash drive purchases. The information FixFakeFlash has for you comes from the efforts of fake flash victims who succeeded in repairing their drives.
To repair counterfeit (fake) flash drives you need the VID and the PID for a flash drive. This will help you determine the software tool required to perform a low level reformatting (commonly known as reflashing). Reformatting in an operating system is “high level” and can not repair the drive. The controller on the flash drive has been reprogrammed to lie – this is why you normally need a special software tool. They exist and are available, but you need to know which one you must use for your drive.
The VID is the Vendor information, the PID is the flash chip controller information. The PID is supposed to identify the chip set family for a software reprogramming tool. How to find this information? The easiest way is to download a program called chipgenius – it will read the drive for you. Only if chipgenius does not find any useful information or the information does not match anything known on the internet should you consider taking your USB flash drive apart. Some drives do not come apart easily so avoid this unless you have no other choice. In most cases you will not have to consider doing this.
Follow these steps to begin the journey to fix and repair your fake USB flash drive to its real size:

If you are trying to repair a counterfeit flash drive but are confused or have not succeeded in doing so, there is good news. A new site in under construction to assist victims of fake flash devices attempting to turn false capacity flash drives (fakes, counterfeits) back into usable flash drives.
Update December 13th, 2008
The site is now up and available – note only known solutions are currently posted there. The address is on our sites tab – Fix Fake Flash Devices.
Updated December 1oth, 2008
We’ve noticed increased traffic for people searching for solutions to repair their fake flash drives. The new site is being built. We have received some solutions but they are still few. It you succeed in repairing your drive from information found at this site to help you, please take a little time and send us your solution (see below). Help us to help others climb out of the fake flash pit.
December 3th 2008
The objective of this new site is to provide information on the subject and solutions with steps victims of fake flash can follow to reprogramme the devices. This new site will be educational and solutions oriented. SOSFakeFlash reports it will not be a download site – it will have links to sites that offer software. It is too early to tell if it will be possible to document all the flash controller chips as there are so many – it will also take time to build. To succeed in reprogramming fake flash there are common principals that can be extended to many different models. To help people understand and succeed – will be the first goal.
If you are a person who has succeeded in reprogramming a fake, please send your solution to SOSFakeflashdrive@gmail.com We are interested in your steps. Also the VID PID information you have, the program you used and if you purchased on eBay, the name of the fake flash seller and eBay item number to match against our database.
The earliest uptime for the new site will be after December 22nd, 2008. We will announce the url address as soon as it is available.

gally2841 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Based in the UK this little private seller holds a very special record – selling the “Biggest” false capacity size on record – a 120GB usb flash drive! SOSFakeFlash is aware that such drives are being advertised for sale (About Fake 64GB USB Pendrives – SONY MICRO VAULT and More )
gally2841 described the drive as:
High-speed USB 2.0 120Gb Micro Vault. USB Storage Media High Speed data transfer Read 12MB/sec (Max) Write 7Mb/Sec (max) PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER ITEMS AS I’VE ALSO GOT another RARE 120Gb Micro Vaults … yep that’s right 120Gb

gally2841 is right is it rare – few counterfeiters are so foolish to list a drive at that capacity. They are not available to the public at that size as the largest flash chip that currently be manufactured is 16GB and very costly to produce. Imagine how many you would need to get a 120GB drive in a pen stick! The drive would be thicker than the average adult thumb size!
Once more the Sony’s Micro Vault brand has been used. Fake Flash sellers are a real torn in Sony’s side – riding on the coat tails of this household electronic brand name!
Fortuately only 2 drives have been sold at 120GB and one at 64GB for a tidy sum of approximately £160’s.
Reported to SOSFakeFlash, RedHot120GB (Nom De Plume) had this to say:
Spent number of hours trying to get the drive to work. Only after searching on google was I aware of fake USBs. Have spoken with the seller and have printed copy below. Am pretty sure the seller will re-list it to recover costs.
RedHot120GB contacted gally2841 who replied:
“I will refund once the item has been returned.
However I must state that I didn’t list the item as Sony. It’s been
over one week since the item was posted to you and you never
confirmed receipt. I sent it special delivery at my cost. For this
reason I will refund excluding the postage once the item has
been returned. I’m sorry that your not statisfied but the item was
not listed as Sony. But as a 120Gb flash drive.”
– gally2841
Unbelievable but true. Not once did gally2841 admit to the drive being a fake!
RedHot120GB’s testing results:
Output:
The media is likely to be defective.
472.3 MByte OK (967325 sectors)
119.5 GByte DATA LOST (250623331 sectors)
Details:119.5 GByte overwritten (250623235 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
48 KByte corrupted (96 sectors)
2 KByte aliased memory (4 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x0000000004622200
Expected: 0x0000000004622200
Found: 0x3030303074327270
H2testw version 1.3
Writing speed: 19.5 MByte/s
Reading speed: 15.4 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4
RedHot120GB suffers the indignity of having purchased the biggest fake on record with SOSFakeFlash that was in fact the littlest flash drive on record. It only demonstrates what tools that digitally alter the true capacity can do to lie to the operating system. They can lie EXTREMELY BIG!

platinum_auctions01 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Based in the United States has sold over 1000+ Flash drives. The most famous counterfeits are Kingston DataTravelers at 16GB. platinum_auctions01 tries to give you a false sense of security by promoting himself as a USA based seller and offering the extra value of fast and free shipping. If you bought a drive from this American seller please test your drives immediately! Do not fall for his standard reply about the flash drive being defective. There is nothing defective about a flash drive that has been digitally altered to report a larger capacity than the flash chip actually is – it is illegal and it is fraud.

memory_world1 is an eBay seller of Counterfeit (Fake) Flash USB drives. Based in United States memory_world1 has listed 7 different 16GB flash drives and sold over 1,200+ drives. Once again proving that fake flash is being sold everywhere, there is no safe eBay buying country to be found. memory_world1 has also sold 8GB drives that look like the oldest and most traditional fake found.
Currently the last drive sold was on December 2nd, 2008. The first drive was sold on September 26th with a buy now price of only $14.98 US. Negatives are now pouring in. memory_world1 is very uncooperative and doesn’t appear bothered by ebay members upset at being sold fakes flash drives. Parting memory_world1 from his fake flash profits will be a challenge, refunding buyers in full is not what memory_world1 has in on his mind. If you bought a drive from memory_world1 – test it immediately. Do not store any data on it unless you can confirm you have the advertised capacity. To see his earnings and the models investigated read on.
