Toward A Fake Flash Drive Free World – No More Counterfeits – No More Data Loss

szeho663 – eBay Seller Of Fake Flash – Under Investigation By eBay

Posted by KittyFireFlash on September 20, 2008

szeho663 frauded many eBayers with fake flash usb drives. He is known as the The Grand Daddy Of Fake Flash Drives On eBay. For a long time he was able to sell and go unnoticed by eBay. His name pops up on eBay warning guides and at internet forums.

FlashRanger has been busy and so have we at SOSfakeflash, szeho663 may be powerseller on eBay but that doesn’t mean he could not be stopped.

We wrote about szeho663 at the beginning of September 2008, see our article szeho663 – The Grand Daddy Of Fake Flash Drives On eBay, posted on September 1, 2008. We asked him to retire from selling fake flash on eBay. It looks like eBay might just help him to do that – with a score over 12,000+ this seller is no longer listing anything for sale!

So, don’t think eBayers are as powerless. To rid eBay of the fake flash plague all victims need to add their voices – not sparing the seller, eBay or PayPal!

FlashRanger reported:

I received a 16GB Flash Drive and immediately tested. I don’t have to tell you what I discovered. LOL. I immediately posted negative. Contacted ebay security, filed a claim with PayPal and wrote the seller telling him he was selling “COUNTERFEIT” drives.

Either he or ebay has ended all his listings. I’m leaning toward ebay doing it.

I’ll keep an eye out for him relisting.

Now why would FlashRanger purchase a drive that has been reported fake? You can guess.

SOSFakeFlash does not post stories on eBay sellers without doing research and having evidence about their fake flash deeds! People have warned szeho663 many times over the years – he is not an innocent seller. Just wiser and less greedy than the 3ToTrade Don.

eBay if you have pulled his plug – good. It means you are starting to take the issue seriously. Please download our most recent mug shot report from the reports category, we have more sellers for you to investigate…

  • As of October 5th, 2008 – we have 20 eBay listings confirmed fake.

  • s of September 20th, 2008 – we have 17 eBay listings confirmed fake.

szeho663 did plead with FlashRanger but the fact is we know the truth.

sorry bring so much trouble with you .

Sorry szeho663, you harmed a lot of people over a long period of time.  You even cost a govenment weeks to reconstruct data.  Perhaps they should should send you the bill?   As we have always said, a seller must test the drives before offering them for sale.  If you would have done that, then you would never have sold a single drive because not one would have passed.  You received many reports for over two years.  You did nothing, except perhaps try to haggle on the refund issue.

The verdict of eBayers is GUILTY!

This year szeho663 sold fake flash drives of 16GB.
