eBay Fake Flash Sellers List 20081205

Posted by KittyFireFlash on August 31, 2008

eBay Sellers of Fake Flash (False Capacity) devices as of 20081205 documented by SOSFakeFlash. The ebay sellers on this list have been documented and investigated. SOSFakeFlash has made it easy for you to research, you no longer have to click and scroll through a sea of feedback to get to the important information.

This list is now closed and old Please see a more recent list.

Please click on the seller’s eBay Id to to see any negative and neutral feedback. This is in addition to the counts that we have on file.

Note: Some sellers have deregistered then reappeared under new seller id’s. If you click on your seller and see a different name, it means that he has tried to evade you by using a new id. For a period of time, the old name will be transfered to the new name with this tool! Eventually it will become blank.

Many sellers are also now hiding their feedback with “Private” – this another attempt hide the truth about their fake flash selling from you. It you find this in feedback and you confirmed you purchased a fake – report the seller hiding his feedback to eBay.

We have added a new feature – sellers who have run from eBay with a deregister. You can still claim against a seller that does this, butHurry!

We hope this list helps you. If you see a seller making his feedback private, he is trying to hide the evidence. If that does not shout Guilt, we do not know what does.

If you see that a seller has deregistered, this is wonderful. One more fake flash seller has been forced to leave eBay!

Remember, if a seller does this, you can still make a claim at Paypal if you are in the time window! Search the site for more information or write for a guide.

If a seller is no longer listing, it is possible that he has been temporarily suspended from eBay. Keep your eyes alert, such sellers often try to sneak back once the suspension is over.

Let us know if you find lists like this useful to you by leaving a comment. You do have to put in your email address, but we are not spying on you, it is to prevent spamming of this site!

We found the tool from Toolhaus.org very helpful to investigate. If you find that Toolhaus.org has helped you, be kind – donate to them.

Where do you get your information from. How can we trust you?

  2. kittyfireflash said

This is a good question. SOSFakeFlash is very careful. We don’t believe in draging people through the mud – with out PROOF! The last thing we want is a “Witch Hunt”!

People have to provide us with evidence. For example in our report a fake tab – take eBay as an example. We require that the person who reports submits the information we ask. The most important information is the output of testing. We try to avoid publishing information on the output of a flash item ourselves. This is so that people don’t try to copy it!

We also check the negative and neutrals for a seller reported. Almost aways there is a report of a fake. It may be buried in the sellers score but we know how to dig it up!

We started dealing with the fake flash subject in April of 2008. True we only started to go public at the end of Augest 2008. We developed a lot of experience in detecting fakes. It does not have to be rocket science. We see the same photos, over and over and over again.

We record information. In the case of ebay, we have all the details in a database. In a few clicks we could easly public all the people who reported a fake. We also have lot’s of testing results on file too. We won’t publish all the ebayer id’s at a public site. Members have the right to privacy. However, we can easily furnish to any legal authorities for a class action suit if that develops.

The terrible truth is – if a model is reported fake – the rest for the model are also fake. We don’t need hugh counts. Why? Well in some of our campaigns we detected fakes for a seller. Then as time went by after the seller of fake flash on ebay was targeted – the only thing that happened was the numbers increased. So all it really takes is one report to alert to a fake. We know from experience if one is fake the rest are fake. We have the data to prove it!

The sad fact is, recently eBay announced it was laying off 1,200 people. Their attempts to improve consumer confidence failed. Why? Well fake flash selling is a good example. Victims we have talked with – are not interested in buying on eBay after their experience with fake flash. Word gets around. We are helping to make sure it gets AROUND! If you are a victim of fake flash you would understand why. Unfortunately since we began fighting fake flash – word has spread rapidly. Let’s face it, the issue had to be addressed. If you lost data you would understand why. The sad thing though is that plain simple employee’s have suffered for that companies behavior.

We do feel for these employee’s that have lost their jobs!

But, if you lost data you would not be happy. Add to it the money you lost. ebay is in serious trouble. While they are happy to rake in fees, they don’t address the issues of members. To make profit they hide behide automation. That is a serious flaw – no brains in automation. People have brains, most programs don’t! Let’s face it, they went for maximun profit and they believed in technology to do it (silly) – to cut corners they devloped templates. The people anwsering your emails are filling in cookie cut info. They are not using intellgence. The end result? Members are p*ssed off. They simply tell others – bad press. They stop buying on eBay (shame really). New members – they deregister – FAST!

With the recent layoff’s don’t expect a lot from eBay. They got saddled with a $65 million lawsuit they lost. Counterfeit goods. They have to pay the price for relying on automation. Thinking that you can replace the intelligence of human beings with programs. Stupid. But it is very common.

If you are an eBay member, you will have a fight on your hands if you are a victim of fake flash. Please fight. Do not show mercy. Not to the seller of fake flash, to eBay and certainly not to PayPal!

If eBay and PayPal want to do business, they had better do something about fraudlent sellers! Otherwise they will lose buyers.

We have had enough of fake flash. Too many people have suffered. There is no way to describe what the data loss has meant to them.

If you are a victim – fight back! There is no reason to be polite. This has been going on since 2003.

We will continue to publish the truth. We ask you to test, and to report your fakes. This increases the evidence – this allows us to publish alerts – this allows us to warn people so they don’t experience what you did!

We will NOT REMOVE a seller from our lists – unless and until they can provide us with proof that they have refunded each an every buyer for a fake flash item discovered. And apologized to the buyer!

    We also need your help.

Our studies show that both eBay and PayPal are NOT stopping the sale of fake flash. It is the fake flash sellers who know how to exploit the flaws of eBay and PayPal that are having a merry time at the expsence of everyone. They demonstate how weak both paypal and eBay actually are! The fake flash sellers are laughing all the way to the bank.

SOSFakeFlash recommends one thing based on our evidence,

DO NOT BUY ANY FLASH DEVICES ON EBAY! Period.

Not until eBay put’s safe guards in place and guartes’ full protection to you – the buyer!

‘usboasis’ sold me the webcrap 16gb stick

  9. kittyfireflash said

    Hi Werger,

Yes we know about usboasis. Thanks to people reporting to us using the “Report a Fake Tab”. A post alert has already been written and is scheduled for the internet two days from now.

We’ve been very busy compiling all the information coming in and double checking information, drives, sales and negatives for sellers. A lot of posts have and will be coming out in the next few days.

We are even hoping to release the next mug shot report in a week or two. This time there will be two versions. A report of confirmed fakes (the usual one) and a new one which will include the confirmed fakes and also all the other drives we found that a seller listed. SOSFakeFlash hopes it is going to help people identify their fake flash drives. Information is disappearing like vapour on eBay as sellers RUN! Saddly eBay seems only too happy to help them and hide their fake flash deeds, sigh.

Worse still, we are seeing an increase in fake flash drives being offered in the United States. There is little we can do to warn people – until we get evidence and proof. The only way is for people to submit the information to us.

See the report a fake tab. We get a lot of incomplete information that we can’t use. 1-4 is mandatory. Very CYA (Cover Your Ass) – so help everyone and send us the information! We are willing to pound the keyboard and get dark circles under our eyes for you.

Coming soon is a report on the most unbelievable fake yet! Yes, a 120GB GB fake flash drive has been sold to an eBayer. Where? The UK!

This is one heck of a battle. Some on the team have been at it for 6 months now. They are pooped. So anything and everything you can do to help (see fight back tab) is appreciated. Remember the goal is to get rid of fake flash devices and eBay at the moment is the main target. That is were most of the crap leaks in to infect the world with this stupid fake flash plague!

Don’t be kind. Don’t be polite! eBay and PayPal don’t deserve mercy as they like the money they make. The sad thing is, they are losing members everyday, and eBay had to layoff 1200 employee’s in October because they aren’t growing. Gee, I wonder why? Sad thought, these are tough times and the little fish (employees) shouldn’t have to pay for the shitty mistakes of their management and their silly quest for GREED! These guys seem to be as bad as the fake flash sellers!

I’ve seem to many young eBayers vote with their feet – quit ebay because of their getting fake flash devices and the agonies eBay and Paypal put them through. Older members are fed up too. Many have stopped ebaying all together in disgust.

The saddest report we got recently is someone lossing their wedding pictures. Why? Fake memory cards they bought on eBay.

If you want to help, there is a proactive way. Look for listings and if you see some that are suspect, contact the sellers and warn them to test their drives with the software. You can also send them the address of the site and ask? To you want to end up on an alert? TEST! In the past this had gotten a lot of sellers to do just that – TEST. The honest ones (victim sellers) pulled their listings immediately. The bad ones…well they don’t reply and that makes them suspect. Yes…they end up on the list eventually.

The last thing everyone should do:

In your negative feedback mention this site along with Fake, Fake! It leaves a trail for help for other victims and it really unnerves the sellers, grin. SOSFakeFlash.wordpress.com

If you left postive feedback you can leave a follow up feedback and do the same thing!

Search engines pick up the keyword SOSFakeFlash, so it helps victims alot.

Lastly, if you have been a victim of fake flash and if you find this site helped you. Do a good deed, find others who bought your fake flash model and warn them with ebay messaging. Tell them to TEST and give them the address of this site.

It’s not just about the money. We wouldn’t be killing ourselves with this night job (we have real day jobs too)- it is about loosing things that are important to people – data, memories. That isn’t FUNNY!

ahhh it feels good to vent a bit. Forgive KittyFireFlash? It’s just that I see the team members in the different groups so tired. They need more help! We’ve seen a lot of progress, these fake flash sellers have eBay and PayPal dancing on their string. Funny how such big companies can be maniputated.

We need to stop this shit. Werger hit the nail on the head – webcrap 16gb.

We issued an alert and warning today – don’t buy 16GB drives on ebay. Period. Read the article to find out why – and the interview with fakeflashnews.wordpress.com we did.
